A few off the top of my head. Alice In Chains - Jar of Flies or SAP, both are equally great. My Bloody Valentine - You Made Me Realize Nirvana - Hormoaning Nine Inch Nails - Broken/Fixed (both are great) Slowdive - Slowdive Ride - Fall Burzum - Aske Mayhem - Deathcrush Oasis - Whatever

Quote24FPS QuoteGasLightStreet Quote24FPS I'm trying to be objective here. I could be dead wrong. I think she's smart now to get every dime she can. I don't think she has real staying power. Her voice isn't special. I can't see her crossing genres like Ronstadt. I don't think she's attracting a large straight male audience. So far I haven't heard anything s

I wonder if after this run of solo dates he will head out with POTR like he did in 2019. Didn’t Micah mention something about “maybe going out Neil” a while back in some interview?

Quoteillyad1960 Looking to replace some book dust jackets. Some are torn, some worn some I do not have. Looking for a site or idea on replacing or creating dust jackets for books, over sized and not. I’ve done a few with cardboard and wallpaper! It all depends on the age of the book rather than size from the few experiences I’ve had. The latest was a Frankenstein of the hardcover from a new boo

Some guys are good at making bread, but if there’s no bread there’s nothing to sell. Keith might be lucky to be in band with Jagger who does the heavy lifting financially, but Mick is lucky he’s in a band with a guy who was a prolific writer. (Bread Maker) I think with respect of the touring financials, stage design, etc, Charlie had more influence and say than folk might think.

Quotestevecardi Quotelem motlow The absolute fantasy that Keith had anything to do with any business deal involving the Stones is laughable. Any quote from him regarding the bands financial situation is him repeating something Mick Jagger told him. The guy spent years in a drunken drugged out haze while Mick covered his ass. You can find interviews with Charlie and Bill talking about Keith fal

QuoteRollingFreak Question, for those who have the NYA, how do the shows work on there? I saw one of his solo Philly shows in 2018 and I believe it says both are on the NYA? I assume as a pro recorded thing? Is that only available for stream there? Can you download from the site or anywhere people think someone might have? I have a great bootleg from the night, but obviously pro audio would be gr

Because it wasn’t his natural voice but a forced one I think he’s wrecked his voice or burned out that part of the vocal chords. His rasp was never a natural part of his voice. Because that voice was a huge part of their sound it all sounds a bit weak now at this stage. Bad Karaoke. It’s time they pulled the plug.

Quotestrat72 Bad idea for GNR to play Glastonbury in this day and age. It has become a wretched woke middle class festival for right-on university types. Even if they were great (they aren't) they still would have gone down like a lead balloon because they do not tick the right boxes. Take a look at Elton..... He was dreadful and we all know it. He can barely walk, he can barely sing (not

QuoteMadMax I catched them three days before Knebworth at Sjöhistoriska in Stockholm, it was magical! Liam came out on stage like Nosferatu drinking Guinness and with a proper menace not seen since Keith in the 70's. Thank God for England, bringing us real Rock stars since 1943. There was genuinely something in the air at Oasis gigs during that period. The crowds at those gigs in 95 &

I saw GnR in 92 and it was over then. Axl’s raspy voice was a forced effect he put on his voice back then, it wasn’t a naturally raspy voice like say a Lemmy who’s singing voice was like that and stayed like that till the end. Axl I believe damaged his voice forcing that rasp over the years. They were 10-12 years late with the reunion and it’s time to pack it in. Now would be a great time

QuoteBig Al QuotePaddy Twinge of sadness seeing the Manics, I remember recording some of their Glastonbury set on VHS back in 1994, Richey was still alive. He’s almost 30 years gone and he could still be there. (Even though I don’t believe it could have went any other way either) What I find sad is that they were on the smaller stage; not only that, but second on the bill? I know their heyday w

QuoteAquamarine QuotePaddy How is the sound in this venue in person? I have a few boots from there and it comes across as a really great sounding room. It has great acoustics. My only issue with the venue is that the lack of a/c, the last time I went, anyway! (April 2022.) Thanks for the reply.

QuoteBeastyBurdeny I'm thinking about going to the two Washington shows but am on the fence. Really wish he threw Van/Vic a bone here. Hopefully this is just a warm-up for more things to come. I was concerned there’d be no Van/Vic gig as the last run he did, even though it was 2019, he did those two nights here in Van. I won’t be travelling to catch anything on this run, I’ll wait patientl
