Given I can pull up just about any seat/pit type for any U.S shows that have been on general sale for 24hrs on Ticketmaster it seems the pricing model may be....broken? Seems the public have gone "stop, we'll think about this"....rather than just diving in?

Stunned by this news. A genuine legend on the axe. Woodstock a crowning glory, but Shhh and Cricklewood Green in particular highlight Lee's talents. To me, far more listenable and enjoyable than even Clapton or Hendrix. Sacreligious I know, but, well, there you go.....Lee for me, the greatest guitarist of all time, I am just shattered. RIP ALVIN LEE - long you will live in my memory.

Quoteschillid 43 Years ago... November 25, 1969 ... I was twelve in 1969, when I saw the Stones perform live for the first time, in Philadelphia at the Spectrum. My mom and my friend's mom took my brothers and our friends. Eight of us, our entourage was comprised of the two moms and six boys. The kids ranged in age from ten to sixteen. Our moms were around 35. At the time, I thought

If Doom is representative of what they can do nowdays .......... bring iT ON !!! I LOVE this is still booming out the radio every day here in Perth - on 96fm! It's a GREAT radio track, short, punchy, nice riff and sympathetic production. Classis Stones (yes, I KNOW it's a Jagger tune - big deal, it's a keeper!) 4 months before a tour???? Given THEY don't physically package

Quotehowled Sticky Fingers. If LIB and Sticky were a double album, then Exile would not be able to match it. Exile has a few good things on it, but I think it's full of castoffs that were not good enough for LIB and Sticky in the first place. I 'Howled" when I read this..... Rgds Rod

Quotebam Yup, lots of their tempos were faster in '72. They spent (and transmitted) more energy in a 75 minute show then they did in the 2 hour+ shows in later decades. Odd - I HAD and TRANSMITTED more energy 41 years ago than I do now too! Doh......

Perth 1973. WACA. I stood, my wife stood ON COKE CANS (she's only 4' 11" tall!). About 20-30 rows back if you could say 'rows' when standing! Sounded bloody GREAT. First Stones show. Boots of the show always bring it home to me. But funnily enough, though I loved the whole show, it REALLY TOOK OFF AT You Can't Always get What you Want. Until then, about

Ah - why bother 'comparing' ... in truth, both have produced epics, and epic fails! That The Stones are STILL 'going' only means they have MORE opportunity to produce both the epic and the epic fail! Have The Stones ever created something as good as While My guitar Gently Weeps, or Come Together or Revolution? Of course! JJF, Satisfaction and (to me) Doom and Gloom come

Quote71Tele I first heard Exile when I was 14 (right when it came out) and didn't hate it, but was confused, as I was used to the hits on Rocks Off that I had been listening to every day. I had yet to be soaked in the blues, soul, and country music that I now love (that came later), so no wonder it didn't quite click with me then. One day I put it on and the world changed. I haven'
