Well guys, I live in Perth, Australia and actually won a competition via a show we had at the time called Hey Hey It's Saturday. I remember when the music host, Molly Meldrum introduced the competition thinking I'm going to win that. So yes my friend and I where at the Rose Bowl gig 1 on the 19th with Buddy Guy and Chilli Peppers. Pretty amazing experience for my first Stones gig, and t

Extraordinary lack of detail from the Stones Web site! - "Mick, Keith, Charlie & Ronnie On Thursday 12 July 1962 the Rolling Stones went on stage at the Marquee Club in Londons Oxford Street".

It was disappointing to hear the boys are keeping it on ice until next year, but I've resolved to being patient in the interim. What I am excited about is my contingency, which is both Tom Petty gigs in London in June.

Am I being harsh here, but it seems to me that over the years the Stones have been significantly more "cagey" than other artists when it comes to their next project, tour etc. For a long time it seems Stones fans, more than others, spend loads of time speculating on this front as (official) news is so scarce. I suspect,in fairness, this is in no small part due to the tension between the

I love this song - I just wonder what post SG album had it been included on may have lifted that particular albums standing appreciably. For me it's "Steel Wheels", to me an album that compared to other circa 80's - 90's albums, was unexpectedly poor, given the hiatus between albums.

I had a dream. Stones opened with "Miss You". It was so very clear, instead of barnstorning the stage, they cruised out to the opening beat of this track, pretty apt on a few fronts as well.

I've purchased both versions and really enjoy the track even though I'm not usually a huge Reggae fan. Given the oft displayed animosity KR exhibits towards MJ, and his love for Reggae, I wonder what he thinks of it, and I further wonder what his response might be if asked in public what he thinks of it. I suppose he can't be too disparaging can he given the others involved?

What a great point. I completely agree with your observation re the Voodoo Lounge B sides. I recall Ronnie at the time lamenting there had been some pretty heated debate about what songs should and shouldn't have been included on the LP. I recall he was very upset The Storm wasn't included. Suck on the Jugular and Mean Disposition are 2 tracks I think the album could have done without.

She is in Perth, Western Australia where she is playing Mrs Robinson in a stage show of The Graduate. What a great lady, totally gracious and seemingly totally unaffected by "celebrity". I would post the photo if I knew how!
