I've always wanted to hear any demo's or studio jams/outtakes of MR. Here's hoping Let It Bleed gets the deluxe treatment soon!

QuoteRedhotcarpet Charlie Watts: "The Mick Taylor period was a creative peak for us. A tremendous jump in musical credibility. Now Keith won't say that; Keith, I think, would prefer to play with Ronnie as a partner. But Mick Taylor was an incredible virtuoso. Brian wasn't, he was a good all-round player, and Ronnie's the same. He'll play wonderful bottleneck guitar and pe

QuoteNaturalust RS Mag published some pictures of the Quebec show, definitely looks like a younger crowd than the rest of the tour. I hate to pour some cold water on the 100,000 ticket sales for the Stones...but it wasn't quite the way it seemed. Most had festival passes for the entire week and many other acts before and after this show...but of course would go down to the park and cat

Okay...I'm in Quebec City and I'm seeing this show...but I'm still royally ticked off that MT is not a part of this. This tour could have been one for the ages...memorable...they blew it because good as this tour is it will soon fade quickly as memory. I'll still have a good time....but....

QuoteAmy340 Quotevintage stone Somebody told me it could be possible that the Band will be Play between the Buffallo and the Quebec Shows in Toronto.... Could it be true? Since they don't play shows two days in a row anymore, the only possible date would be July 13th. I doubt it's happening, though. Oh well...Might wander around Dundas Square that day and watch for vans and truck

Quoteslew What makes EOMS so great is its lack of a huge song like Brown Sugar! It delves into all styles of American music that they Stones can play. Gospel, Country, Blues and Rock N Roll. The crowning achievement of their recording career IMHO! Exile is a magical 18 song rock opera...it tells a great story...

I saw Rush play in the common area of Erindale College Toronto in 1974...their first road tour. It was supposed to be a dance (!) that quickly turned into a metal mash that emptied the room of some folks. They of course became a global monster over the next 40 years.

With apologies to you 'Dreamer' I have to tell a story about why I’m so down about the exclusion of Mick Taylor on this tour. I don’t think it will bore anyone as some here will remember the situation or have experienced something similar.
