throw some caution to the wind and a little more caprice in the setlists and the use of Mick Taylor - this is not calculus out there - its music and entertainment and its pretty fuggin clear that Mick Taylor adds quite a bit when he is utilized.

Quotehbwriter my advice, for what it is worth (ie - zero) You're the Rolling Stones. You don't need people voting on songs. You know what people want. So surprise us. Special guests do not sell tickets. You want to do it? Fine. Just freaking do it without the silly unveiling. Mick Taylor DOES sell tickets. Give him more to do. If there is one thing that unites Stones fans, it i

Quotereg thorpe SCREEN legend Joan Collins has hit out at The Rolling Stones — for wrecking British society. The Dynasty star said the wild antics of pop stars in the 1960s and ’70s had led to a general loss of good manners. She said: “It was just accepted that you had to be rude and not really care about anybody except yourself. “I think a lot of it had to do with the Beatles’ and Stone

Quotejohnnythunders " Mick Jagger has said that he's not sure using Twitter to construct setlists for The Rolling Stones' live shows will work as fans online only want to hear obscure songs. The band will headline two huge gigs in London's Hyde Park this July as well as Glastonbury festival in June with Jagger announcing the Stones' slot on the Pyramid Stage by asking

Nicky Hopkins - I think it could be fair to say could have had at least as big a beef with songwriting credits as Mick Taylor did. He was pivotal as was Mick Taylor did for melody, counter-melody, and feel and trills and the whole bit...he was very much a Rolling Stone - musically - for me...he was there for the Golden Age and hell when I heard "Following the River" it brought it all b

QuoteSWAYZ 3 shows... I cant believe they will play the same bit with Taylor 3 in a row. Or will they? I would be disappointed if they played essentially the same show 3 staright shows in the same town. They played CYHMK at the Aragon in 2002 - which was a smoking good show - they also played "Walk and Don't Look Back"...and Bono even popped up on stage for "It's Onl

for all of the drama, disappointment (on my part anyway) about how it is ending etc....pales in comparison to the music. Holy shit there just is not an emotion, a thought, a feeling that cannot be enhanced or even focused by a select Stones song. I just started putting on outtakes, rare tracks, and it is still amazing and mind blowing what this band was about. So yeah I bitch a little bit...

I don't have any professional training singing, but I know some people who have and a lot of the time, to sing certain words at volume, they need to change their pronunciation for it to sound right. For instance, the Brian Adams song "Run to

QuoteSend It To me Don't judge a performance that hasn't happened yet. Simple, no? Oh that is a totally fair point..she could even be surprisingly good in a no expectations kind of way...this is actually more pointed towards Mick's more crass instincts instead of delivering on a legacy that frankly needs no special guests but certainly is not needing of someone like Katy Perry

Quotevermontoffender Good lord. The cry babies on this board. You people are a mad, delusional, sad bunch, aren't ya? Hope anyone who goes has a great time. Hopefully Katy Perry being onstage with the band for 5 minutes won't ruin the Rolling Stones in concert for you. If she does, seek professional help immediately. STFU - sad, mad and delusional about wanting the Stones to

Can't understand for the life of me how anyone could think HTW was their worst song, though. I truly think that has to be one of the most bizzare statements ever..totally agree in fact I will say straight up Honky Tonk Women is the greatest song the Rolling Stones have ever done (for my money). In fact I have often said it may be the most perfect rock and roll song ever. Three minutes an

Quoteachilles77 I will feel let down. -Bill should've been a part of this -the false-advertising of Taylor's role on this tour.... -One, maybe two songs a show only for Taylor. -A bunch of ridiculous guests -over-priced tickets -mostly a greatest hits show Basically I'm left with just a lot of could've/should've feelings about the "greatest rock n roll ba

Mick basically kept the Stones out there from 2010-2013....his work at driving the re-release and true marekting genius of Exile with I daresay a truly inspired effort for the best single I think they have put out

If you're just complaining for the sake of complaining, then why? Is your life ruined? Does a certain guest somehow make Sticky Fingers less of a great album? Does a certain guest make The Stones less good? Rubbish. You guys react as if the he

Instead within the next week they should try to record 2-3 of their very best ideas - if they have any - ala Muscle Shoals cut them in a day or two rough and ready in the studio and then debut them and release them live and on radio, YouTube whatever...that would be enough if they have any gas left in the creative tank.

Hoping that the two of them have some affection and regard for each other goes along with the desire for them to reconnect and do a great album together again. Besides, it appeals to the very human longing for a romantic conclusion to the epic story of The Rolling Stones. You see it i
