Sounds OK to me and I have good equipment. Watched the bluray twice. The original source was probably not that good to begin with. I wasn’t expecting IMAX Steel Wheels quality. The Voodoo Lounge concert in Oakland on Halloween night was one of my favorite concert experiences. Watched the NJ concert tape sold at the show that night with my cat Cuddles by my side and then went to bed and got up fo

Just watched this. They did a great job- immersive sound, good picture although not widescreen. I was at one of these concerts in San Jose and this bluray faithfully recreates what I experienced that night in San Jose. Haven’t listened to the CDs yet. My only negative is that there are no special features. It would have been nice to include Gimme Shelter as a bonus from the other night.

At amazon, I had seen the total works of Fats Domino before. I wonder if his work in total is good because it is a lot of music. Most of us know of course, the big hits, Blueberry Hill, Ain't that a shame, I'm gonna be a wheel, Walkin' to New Orleans, I'm walking and so on. It was a lot of music in that boxset. Fats never made a bad song. He sang all styles of music a

No volume issues? Going from the menu on the bonus disc to the program there is not a dramatic decrease in volume and then a dramatic increase in volume going from the end of the program back to the menu? I would like to know if others have experienced a low volume level on the bonus tracks disc. This is an expensive item for those extra bonus tracks and one would expect a quality uniform volume

Just played the Japanese ole ole bluray. The documentary is OK but there are no English subtitles when Spanish is spoken, only Japanese. My big disappointment is with the bonus disc that I paid extra for to get the 10 bonus songs. The volume level is way too low. I have to turn it up 10 dbs to sound normal. The problem is that the menu is normal volume so that when you get to the end menu the so

One of my favorites. My favorite live versions are on the voodoo lounge and Bridges tours. I am really disappointed in the version on Ole Ole. That sax interlude doesn't seem to fit in with the song. The version on Havana Moon is much better and I like the sax player better.

QuoteLong John Stoner The reviews for the Oakland show are starting to come in. Apparently not everyone agrees it was a great show. It sounds like this reviewer isn't predisposed to like the Stones anyway. Read the comments section to his review. Apparently the commenters disagree with his review. I was there. It was a great show.

Quotebye bye johnny Quoteohotos Quotebye bye johnny QuoteIGTBA Regarding the $85 tickets GA and Seat numbers, someone on Shidoobee said those numbers are just for reference for Ticketmaster and Will Call. That they do not mean anything more than that. Since the promotion states you will learn your location once you pick up your tickets at Will Call, that sounds right. That's right. Menti

I saw 2 illuminated signs showing different ads every 10 seconds at the Oakland side of the Bay bridge today. The tongue logo was in the mix with two ads using the song titles Shattered and I Can't Get No Satisfaction. We tried to get a picture coming back at night but the tongue didn't appear when we were in position to take a picture. This looked awesome at night.

Voodoo Lounge Oakland on Halloween. My second RS concert after the Happy Birthday Mick! Day On The Green at Oakland 1978. I became a fan when Last Time/Play With Fire was released but didn't start going to concerts until the Day On The Greens.

It's OK. A good book to complement the other coffee table books as it has some rare pictures and is a good 50th anniversary souvenir. $60 list in USA. Got it at Costco for $36.

Quotepaulywaul Rolling Stones tickets sell out in seven minutes should actually read ............ Rolling Stones tickets ALL end up on SEATWAVE and GETMEIN in seven minutes That would be a more truthful piece of reporting ! Exactly. It is going to be interesting to see how many empty seats there are when the resellers can't unload all their tickets.

QuoteJK This advice might come too late concerning the London tickets, but my advice is practise before the tickets you want go on sale. If you book tickets only every 3-5 years many things change during that time and some ticket companies have a bit different logic in their systems. When high demand tickets to Justin Bieber, for example, go on sale book tickets (ok, don´t confirm/pay them unles

Quotestonescrow I hate to admit it but it was always the Beatles over the Stones for me until the night I saw the HBO concert in '03. At the conclusion of that show I realized that the Stones (at least in my mind) had finally surpassed the Beatles. Still love them both but the Stones are truly #1 from here on in to eternity for me. I have that concert on dvd. It's great. I thought V

About 12 people in the theater. $12.50 ticket price while all other movies $5. This might look good on a computer monitor screen. Looked like a good VHS tape to me on the theater screen. Glad I didn't see it on an IMAX screen. The sound wasn't that great, seemed like it was too low also. I saw this in the 80's and I can't see any real improvement except for a clean

John Fogerty, Los Lobos, E-Street Band, Rob Thomas, John Mayer, Eagles.......definitely not Aerosmith or Kiss. Probably not a current best American or World's best - very subjective. The best band of all time would be the Beatles; number two is open to debate: Stones, Zeppelin, Who, Beach Boys, Credence, Eagles etc.

Not interested. Have been seeing the same recyled show since Voodoo Lounge (I missed Steel Wheels). They have enough of my money and I already have their dvds and blu-rays to watch when I want to enjoy their live music. Saw Paul McCartney at AT&T in SF. Great concert with music and performances that still sound alive and fresh.

Led Zeppelin would sell more due to the novelty of regrouping. Probably won't pay to see Stones again although I might pay to see Zep. McCartney and Springsteen still put on good memorable shows and feel fresh. Going to see U2 in Oakland. Just saw one of the best concerts ever, McCartney at AT&T park in SF.

Didn't know who he was until I started watching Celebrity Apprentice. He is a very nice guy who gets along with his fellow contestants very well and comes off as being a very creative individual. He is one of the two men left in the competition. He should be on Sunday Night at 9 PM in the US. I hope he pulls through. He has a daughter who also has diabetes.

QuoteAddicted From what some of you guys are writing here, the Stones wouldn't have been able to make great music if Bill hadn't broken the law and had a sexual relationship with a child? Well, that makes me wonder: Why were the other guys in the band so incredibly pissed off with Bill's behaviour? Why could they barely stand looking at him? In fact they hated what he'd done

Quotecrumbling_mice I hate to poor fuel on an already raging fire, but, it should be pointed out that most rock musicians throughout the 1960's and 70's had sex with minors - hordes of young girls in hotels basically throwing themselves at musicians...they didn't bother to ask for ID's....and many of these girls appeared much older anyway. Certain rock guitarists (not Stones)

Quoteboogie1969 After reading the article, I can't help but think that the girl was a legit fan looking for a way to attend a show she sincerely wanted to see. She was "frantically searching craigslist for tickets to the Rolling Stones concert that would take place a day later". I don't think there is anything wrong with this. What stands out as wrong to me is this: 1. Feel

I was disappointed. They looked flat compared to the Concert For New York City, 8 years ago. The light set-up and distance from the audience probably diminished their effectiveness. They feed off the energy of the audience, like at NYC and that was lacking here. They did well but the stage set-up and camera panning in and out diminished their peformance. The Concert for New York City
