Thank you for bringing this topic and thread back up again. The news somehow slipped by me originally. It's fascinating, tragic, and unfair IMHO. BSS is a fantastic song and The Verve is a fantastic band. I agree with the 50/50 split comments and Keith Richards' quote. Wow, I just never heard the similarity.

It appears that info on this boot is hard to find. My vote is that this show is indeed from Oct 17. Any reference I could find for "Tie Me Down Or Turn Me Loose" says it's the Oct 18 show. That recording is LP source and partial show only that fits onto 1 CD: ROLLING STONES TIE ME DOWN OR TURN ME LOOSE TALLOW TCP-1881-A/B SFO, CA 10/18/81 @ Candlestick Park 8 - AUD

Hmmmmm..... The tracks don't match the artwork supplied or the artwork here: This could be an April 5 or April 6 show, hard to tell. However, I've been playing the files and they sound great regardless of what the real dates are.

Didn't go to the first show, tickets were sold out the same day they went on sale. I wised up for the second show and skipped school to stand in line at the San Jose Box Office. I remember the tickets were all pre-printed since all seats were general admission only. There were just stacks of them piled high. All red with a foil tongue logo. You can actually buy original tickets from bot
