When many venues say tickets are sold out, it means they're sold out of what has been released. But not all tickets are released before or during the initial day of general sale. There are random ticket drops for months and weeks before the concert. Many of the best seats aren't released until a few weeks or days before show date. So if you don't get what you want early on,

Re: tour announcement from NYC which may not be a tour stop - I'd assume the broadcast will be played on many rock stations, and Mick and Keith may or may not be present. Could be recorded or phone conversations. It's a tour of many areas in U.S., so as long as the announcement seems to originate here, it fits with the upcoming tour.

On Friday March 29 2013, we began seeing promo billboards for the North American leg of the 50 and Counting tour. They all had messages like Satisfaction Wednesday, Start Me Up Wednesday, etc. Then the tour was announced the following Wednesday on April 3 2013. It seems clear the Stones wanted to announce today. So something very important must have changed or gotten screwed up.
