Quotetreaclefingers Quote5strings Where Can i find the best and clean version of Slave long version 12'' Thanks I find this one Why in the hell is this so awesome? It's not even really a song, it's just a jam! And more importantly, why, not once, have they played this live...just as an experiment even? What a load of fun that would be onstage. Not performing S

Quotevertigojoe Britpop came after Grunge, and was killed by cocaine. Yes, grunge certainly does pre-date Brit-Pop. In fact, the latter was a reaction to what was coming out that American scene. It’s funny, as although Blur are seen as being synonymous with the Brit-Pop movement, they do pre-date it. They got their break around the same time as the Charlatans, circa 1990.

Quoteliddas Blur remains a very good band no matter what Albran thinks of the Stones. And Albran can think shit of the Stones, but I would still love the Stones. Words don't hurt me C I don't think he 'dislikes' the Stones at all. His comments were more to do with the location of the album unveiling: Hackney, London. Personally, I feel Keith. himself, addressed the

QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax Funny to see the boy Damon losing it at the Coachella audience because they didn't know his biggest hit song and didnt want to sing its crappy chorus. He is the gift that keeps giving, but now he should give it up... As for Mogwai, I wouldn't even bother to flush them down Glasgow' worst sh*tter if they all died on it. That's one group that should h

There’s nothing be to me here, personally. It should be more widely known to followers of the Rolling Stones that Ronnie didn’t, somehow, magically materialise in 1975. Even before the Faces and Jeff Beck Group, Ronnie was a known in the scene. Those Birds singles are terrific.

QuoteBeast Quotefrankotero I want to ask if someone has a picture of her and can post it. I would like to put a face to the name. Maybe I saw her at concerts. It’s always unusual to miss people through the years. Thank you in advance. I have a few that I could post but please bear with me while I ask someone for help with it. That’d be much appreciated, Beast

I have no idea, really. There seems to be this misconception that, just because they were part of the 'same era', that they would necessarily know one another. I am sure there are many, many, equally famous 60’s musicians who never actually met. Didn’t Keith address something like this, regarding a Jim Morrison association? It may have been during one of those Q&A snippets. Regardin

Goodness, did I get few ‘telling off’s’ from her over the years! She was one of Tell Me’s titans; a formidable member of our community for many years. Her threads about the Stones’ guitars made for fascinating reading. Rest in peace, Lady Sssoul.

Angry and Tell Me Straight are both definite inclusions, in my opinion. They may have a coupe of other numbers in rotations; Whole Wide World; Mess it Up, and Bite My Head Off being three probable's. I'm unsure about Sweet Sounds of Heaven. A duet with Ga Ga, perhaps, but I don't envisage it being one they'll dig out too frequently. Let's be clear though: if they tour

IF the Stones perform in London once again, then surely Wembley Stadium should be on the cards. Hyde Park is terrific, yet seeing them at England’s national stadium would be marvellous. I just missed out in ‘99, though i did attend the Division Two Play-Off’s Final between the mighty Gillingham and Man City that very same year. Bloody Mancs! The original Wembley was such an iconic venue; steeped

Wasn’t it The Brit Awards, where Ronnie had the drunken altercation? That was hilarious. It’s on YouTube, I’m sure. Regarding whether the Stones will make an appearance: I very much doubt it. Ronnie’s the only Stone who seems to spend considerable time there. The Brit Awards was decent in the 90’s; not so much now.

QuoteSwayed1967 Quotedmay What an interesting list of books. I've read a few on the list, but, wow, what a diversity of genres. Would love to know what the Stones (and others) read, have read. I haven't read a novel in at least a decade but I used to be a voracious reader. I can tick off 25 of the books on Bowie's list, all novels. Who can top that? Great Expectations? Is

Or what other posters here are reading, too. Myself, I've always been a reader of fiction. Stephen King being the author I first latched onto, in my late-teens. This year, I'm hoping to tackle the classics. I've started with Dickens' Great Expectations. Wonderful stuff.
