Quotebv Today Friday Jan 14 the government in Norway opened up our country, following one month of restrictions due to Omicron uncertainty. I celebrated the day going to our local joint having a beer. From now on I am done with the pandemic. Can you shut down this thread then? There will be at least one Californian who won't have anything else to post but that's what we want...

QuoteMaindefender Private business outcry caused the CDC to reduce to 5 days. Am I the only one who is having trouble keeping score with science? Most of us are. But only half of us will admit it.

On Monday the U.S. CDC cut isolation restrictions for Americans who catch the virus from 10 days to 5 days. They also shortened the time that close contacts need to quarantine. Why is this not being discussed at all on this thread?

Howdy Nellcote! Yep, Greensboro, and, at the time, I was thinking "Glad I'm seeing them now before they get too old to tour." Yeah....right! How was Charlotte? Charlotte was g

I don't think you need anything for Charlotte. At least you didn't need anything for the Panthers game Sunday. They say you need to wear a mask in the "indoor" areas of the stadium, but not many people were even doing that.

I was lucky to see the Stones the month before Greensboro at MSG when i was 14, so that was my first Stones show. Smoked my first joint (strawberry rolling papers) with my buddies walking to the train station after High School on the way to the show. My dad came in to the city and drove us home after the show. Also saw Beach Boys & Chicago playing together sometime in spring '75 at MS

I was 15 and my brother and i were dropped off by my mom about 1pm too. Festival seating was crazy. My brother was younger than me so when we ran in we sat on the first row off the floor on Ronnie's side. StonedAsia i think you said you had a boot from that record store in Chapel Hill. Would love to hear that one.

This here for instance is about JM producing one of the best Stones album of all times. And what happened? After 3 posts we land at Johnny Thunder is a pig, heroin, Motorhead... QuoteStonedAsiaExile In the video clip with Muddy Waters in Chicago, 1981, Keith whips out what looks like a butterfly knife to open a bottle of Jack. He looks pretty damn adept at using it Around the 3 minute mark. ^My favorite part of that film.

I recall a Stanley Booth interview where he said Keith used to listen to Lucille Bogan's Shave 'Em Dry when they were hanging out in 1969 or around then.

Quotejbwelda Is it a coincidence that they went from performing on stage in 72 and 73 to performing around big stupid props in 75? I do not think so, I think they purposely went for the spectacle to cover their ineptitude musically at that point. jb What? So you think a conscious decision was made to add props because they concluded they were "inept" musically in 1975?

Quotedaspyknows Reading this thread it is easy to pick out those who fall on the dividing line of the symbols represent history and not meant to be racist and those who are flat out racists. I fully expect those who are the flat out racists to come after me for this comment. Then again they are also the same same anti-maskers who dismiss Covid as a flu or a hoax. You know who you are and so

<Most of this comes down to federal taxes I think. The people that pay them (a shrinking minority) got them cut and want to keep them that way. The people that don't pay them (a growing majority) but benefit from them also want to keep it that way. All the free stuff promised is paid by someone. <Does the Cowboys - Giants game mean anything?> Yes. If Giants win and Washington loses the Giants host a home playoff game. And if Dallas wins and Washington loses the Cowboys are in the playoffs. If Washington beats Philly they are NFC East Champs with a home playoff game.
