It's funny what we become accustomed to and become critical about. Just a couple of days ago I was watching one of the recent shows, the morning after the performance, and was explaining to my son about how when I was younger I'd have to wait months and hope to find bootlegs at record shows or through tape trades. It's amazing that we can now check out the shows live and/or the

I am hopeful for a great show for one of my oldest friends, who now lives in Vancouver. I would love to follow along at home but it will be a 1:15am start time for me so I look forward to his report, tomorrow. His last time seeing the band was 1989, when we were just pups.

QuoteAngus MacBagpipe Herring Cove! Good grief, I used to live off Herring Cove Road on Princeton Ave back in the 60’s before we moved to Victoria. Hope your flights go well and you enjoy the show and have fun in Vancouver. I think the crowd will be really excited because it’s been a long long time. Unfortunately, I decided against booking because of the looming Westjet strike. Strike averted

QuoteAGhostTown Just booked flight from Nova Scotia to head to Vancouver. Going with my aunt and cousins. Super excited. If there are any extra pit or floor tickets kicking around, please let me know. Love to try to show them how you are suppose to see a Stones show. Wicked! I'm in Herring Cove and was seriously debating doing the same, a week and a half ago. Best flight prices at the ti

I'm a Canadian who isn't really into hockey so I'm watching my first full hockey game of the year, tonight. I've always had a soft spot for Edmonton as I was a kid during Gretzky's Edmonton heyday. With no Canadian team having won the Cup since 1993, there are likely a lot of hosers like me tuning in.

QuoteMirko Baseball is like Cricket. A Sport for people who do not sport. What does that even mean? Hitting a baseball is regarded by many as the hardest thing to do in professional sports. Round bat and a round ball that's moving all over the place and changing speeds from pitch to pitch. There's a reason that guys who are successful 30% of the time are considered elite. Don'

For me, someone who is mostly a lurker on here, I only "knew" Gazza via text but his opinion I always enjoyed reading. To those who knew him personally, I offer my sincere condolences. It sounds like he was a wonderful human. What a loss...

QuoteJMARKO Quotedownagain Whole Wide World is such a great showcase for Ronnie. For that alone it's worth keeping in the set. A much better choice over Mess It Up which was simply flat in Houston. I would agree that they are pulling off WWW much better. With that said, I'd like to see them do Mess It Up with Mick playing guitar through the whole thing.

I wonder how many pit tickets they hold for sale on the day of the show. So many unsold ones must go to Lucky Dips so they don't have a barren pit area when the band hits the stage. I've never done the Lucky Dip thing. Is the box office typically open long before you can pick up Dips?

Personally, I think Out of Time being a hit on either side of the pond is largely irrelevant UNLESS it's a song that's continued to get airplay on UK radio stations. Otherwise, we are talking about a track that only fans with a deeper knowledge of the Stones would know. And, as we all know, that's not the majority of people in a crowd of 40k to 70k. It's a good pop song wi

One Keith song cut in favour of more HD tracks. Fine by me...says a lot that Mick doesn't feel he needs the extra 5 minute break.

I would suggest choosing the guitar you're most interested in learning to play. Motivation is key.

Somewhere around 1997, I was super stoked to find out that Mojo was set to play my local watering hole, Call the Office, in London, Ontario. I was quick to snap up tickets as I'd been a Mojo fan for a while after having become aware of him from the Dead Milkmen's classic Punk Rock Girl. As it turned out there was little reason to rush to buy tickets as there were maybe 10 of us there

For me, the album with the songs I like the most is Hackney Diamonds BUT the one thing that pulls me in a different direction is only having Charlie on a couple of tracks. I've had no trouble enjoying the tracks on Hackney with Steven on drums, but if I'm only going to be able to listen to this one record for the rest of my life, I might pick Voodoo Lounge only so I can enjoy Charlie o
