Thanks wildcolonialboy. btw today I was asking myself the same question - what about #65? I'll have to check my external HDs if I already ripped something (and never uploaded) or if it's just a long forgotten idea Mind you, I started this thread in 2011 - quite a long time. But my next upload will be #65 anyway

Another one - not quite a classic and I already forgot about this LP until I found it yesterday when browsing through my records. From The Archives - a collection of songs that were considered rare in the early 80s - probably the first release of "Dancing Girls".

Hm, I can extract it on my HD with winwar without problems. Did you try 7zip? If you don't succeed I'll put up another transfer tomorrow (with 7zip), ok? Merry Christmas, my friend

Child of the Moon - I favoured the B-side over JJF back in 1973 back then. 2nd one was Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby? on a "Donauland"-tape (Big Hits 1) the same year I guess.

QuoteRank Stranger You can always count on the working man! "Arbeiter Zeitung" dated Sept. 27th ( Sunday ) reports a concert the previous Saturday =26th ! Great find, thanks ! It's crazy that big gazettes like Krone or Kurier don't have an online-archive (at least not for the years way back from now). I didn't even try to look for the Arbeiter Zeitung...

QuoteDeltics I have this on my HDD in a folder marked "dubious and fake" as I've never been able to confirm if it's real or not. This one has been on display at www.wienerwohnen.at - seems to be the official poster for the concert that happened - on contrary to the show from the 27th that never happened. Funny, that even Bill Wyman has the date wrong in his book. I go

As I wrote above I asked my parents to visit the National Library in Vienna to check the newspapers from the 20th to the 30th of September 1970. They ALL wrote about the show on the 26th September and one gazette even points out that there were two seperate shows on afternoon and evening BUT the Stones only played in the 2nd half. That's probably the reason where (wrong) claim about two s

Quoteraves Yes, I've been there - It was my first 'big' concert and of course my first Stones concert. Still got the ticket ... Rainer Would you mind to share a scan of the ticket, Rainer? And yes Monsoon Ragoon, Nico got the date corrected cause last summer my parents visited the national library in Vienna to scan the daily papers from that time for concert reviews. They

QuoteMonsoon Ragoon QuoteDandelionPowderman Summer Romance is pretty fast, too. SR is one of the first self-parodies of this band. So awful bad they didn't even play it in 1981 when they played everything. Great tune, always liked it. And they played exactly 2 (T W O) songs from Emotional Rescue in 1981. So what do you mean with "when they played everything"?

QuoteRolling on Quotesilkcut1978_ Nope, couldn't unzip. 7zip doesn't work and winzip works for a while but the last step ends up with "Error: Invalid compressed data to expand (inflate) the file" - anyone else with this problem? I have used winrar 4.20 if that helps you out of the trouble. Already solved, thanks - one file was incomplete (200 MB too short). So I downloaded

QuoteMonsoon Ragoon .... What they could do is specify the sources... You're right on one hand but on the other WLR is not famous for sending their own tapers to the gigs. So I'd say they should quote when releasing something unique, otherwise it's the usual stuff from here.

Quotefrenki09 I wonder why the record company does nothing to stop fake box sets being sold on eBay. I do understand why eBay does nothing: they simply can't take steps until it's not confirmed that these are actually fake items. I don't expect eBay to take steps on its own. (Although there was a time when they deleted listings of bootlegs. Actually I don't think bootlegs are

Marko, after 1/2 a dozen posts of yours I felt the need to write something. 2 years ago I had a good old friend from Germany visiting me and he said to me something like "I wouldn't even tell you about a tape that I can't give you". Usually that's the way it works, isn't it? Getting a rare tape means a) keep it private (and rare) and b) don't spread word th
