That's great looking work MickTaylorFan27, I know how much time goes into those transcriptions. All the best with the project.

Thanks. Chuck's a decent bloke imo who doesn't deserve some of the sh1tty remarks aimed at him from here.

Re Paris: I wondered if the definition might have been better in a small room. (Also I am insanely jealous of anyone who was there! I've always been curious to know what the Stones on-stage sound is like. Seems it's nothing but Keith!) At the O2 the Miss You break was the only bit of bass playing I could say I heard clearly. It would be interesting to hear if the bass was actually

Yeah, he was on Jools Holland a few weeks ago.

Darryl's bass was loud and clear in the mix. I thought he played a blinder. Held Sympathy together brilliantly throughout. Personally I don't mind some of the fancy licks as long as the guitars can still breathe. On the other hand, from my seat at the O2 last month you couldn't hear the bass properly at all, neither Darryl nor Bill. Shame, as the rest of the sound was excellent

Quotevudicus Anyone had any experience on parking at the o2? Parking at the O2 is easy if you pre-book a space in their car park. You can still do it today by phone or online via their website. You'll need a credit/debit card and it's gonna cost you £20 but it hassle-free apart from a bit of a queue to get out. Hope that helps. Have a great night either way. (You will!)

Yes, they're in-ear monitors not ear plugs.

Was glad they didn't play it, JJF was the best finale. Shame about Lady Jane, though. I would've liked to hear that.

Chris Evans has been plugging his interviews with the Stones for the One Show (7pm tonight BBC1) throughout his radio show this morning. Everyone sounded in extremely good spirits in the extracts he played, especially Mick. The interviews were done yesterday at Wembley Arena. Evans was there as they "rehearsed the entire show in front of about 6 of us".

Cheers Deltics, that was good. Ronnie's "We've got some great surprises up our sleeves" sounds interesting. Looking forward to Sunday!

Where I was the steward was a total fascist. No one allowed to stand up or step sideways into the aisle. Bummer. Not what you want at a Stones show. Maybe one day I'll get round to writing up my recollections of my first show, quite the opposite experience...

Like your positive attitude: good for you, stick at it. But Gazza is right, a lot of wishful thinking doesn't constitute proof unfortunately!

Quotejr Do buy a copy of the mag when you see it. It’s what we do for a living, after all – and hopefully you’ll enjoy other stuff in the mag, too. Absolutely.

QuoteDartfordRenegade Black & Blue was the first Stones album I bought when it was released and I still love it to this day. Same. Hot Stuff and Hey Negrita are now my favourite tracks though I liked them the least when it came out. I remember the cheap black printer's ink on my hands from the Barbara Charone review in Sounds and how Crazy Mama was going to be the new Brown Sugar.
