I've seen Wind Call referred to as an outtake from both "Goats Head Soup" and "Black 'n' Blue". Musically it sounds to me more like a Black 'n' Blue Outtake, but I'm convinced that's Mick Taylor on the Slide which points to Goats Head. Some of the slide licks sound similar to what Taylor did on "Dancing With Mr. D" when they pla

I appreciate both of your suggestions. Although I am generally a purist when it comes to these things, if the only stereo option is the out-fake, I am still interested in hearing it, as well as a true mono mix.

Cool, I shall do a search. Do you happen to remember what title it went under? Might be easier to search for it.

What boot has the best sounding version of "Can't Believe" aka "I Can See It" aka "Get Yourself Together"? I'm looking for a stereo mix of the master take, not the looser rehearsal version or the instrumental backing track. If no stereo version exists than, what is the best mono source? I'm looking for the lowest gen, best sounding non remaste

I've edited my request as I now remember it was called performances, not rarities. Cheers.

I used to own a 4 cd box set called Performances which contained studio outtakes from 1963-1979. I cannot remember the label but it came in a long black box with a tongue on the front and came with a booklet and 4 cds in jewel cases. Each CD cover had the same tongue design with a different coloured backgrounds, such as yellow, white and grey. If anyone can share this in flacs I would be v

Fantastic. Is this an FM broadcast or audience source? I shared a (then unknown) FM recording a few years back, but this seems to have more tracks.

I lost my old download of this so I've downloaded it again. It seems to download as just a non specific "file" that I cannot opem it's not a .rar or a zip, it simply says File. Has anyone else had this problem? If not, could somebody re-upload it? Cheers, Vudicus.

It's great to know that the full BBC performance survives. For years we've had Brown Sugar as that track alone was repeated on Top of The Pops when the single charted, but the episode that had the 3 song album showcase was always thought to have been wiped. I'm glad this has been proved not to be the case.

QuoteVideoJames I agree Marquee Show was not one of the bands best shows. I am working on the DVD project and trying to get them to use another show. What show do you know 100% they did Wild Horses? This would help in getting another 71 show used. I have offer them Wild Horses & Bitch from Top of The Pops as a bonus, hopefull they will want to use it. Marquee Show will be used regardless but

Sadly the hand wired "script logo" version of the Phase 100 that Keith had is no longer made. The re-issue Phase 100 is the Block logo version which has different circuitry and does sound different, even though it is close. MXR do make a hand wired "script logo" Phase 90, which may sound closer to what you are looking for, even though it's not exactly what Keith us

I seem to remember Jimi breaking into the "Satisfaction" riff during an improvisation on one of his last European shows in September of 1970. I shall have to give them a listen again to see if I can spot it. Another Stones/Hendrix connection is that Ronnie Wood shared a flat with Jimi for a short time in London.

Quotekeithpinkmoon QuoteLieB Cool stuff, I wish it was available in better quality. All the Paris videos I've seen have had better performances than the LA '75 dvd. IMHO, they might as well have released Aux Abattoirs instead of LA Blues officially, but I'm hoping to some day have both in official excellent quality. I agree with you too. I wouldn't be at all surprised

There is of course a tiny possibility that Tony Blackburn himself has a copy. A few celebrities back in the day had very primitive home video set ups and kept copies of their own work. Only this year 2 missing episodes of "At last the 1948 show" were found in the private collection of David Frost. Tony Blackburn is still alive so maybe he could be asked about the show. Also,
