Mick doesn't need to concentrate on improving his guitar playing because it's quite ENOUGH that he works with a voice coach so he can hold up his end of the gigs !( and hold his end up HE DOES!). I think he enjoys dabbling but he knows that the guitar is secondary. It is certainly more than a prop, and as with his piano playing, it is not his responsibility to be a virtuoso on that ins

It was really cool to watch Tyler, dancing away and enjoying the preshow. He is my #2 main man in rock. I almost walked over to him just to say hello but I thought that would have been rude and intrusive. If I were him watching a show, I would not have welcomed a fan bothering me, but I sure did struggle with whether to get up or not....should I go or should I stay... I stayed in my seat like a n

That picture was taken on Jan 15, 1998 at Madison Square Garden before the Stones show. I was at that show, saw Tyler watching from close to where I was seated. Tyler watched the opener, Fiona Apple, and then he and his then-wife went back stage, presumably when the photo was taken. It was printed in People Magazine where I clipped it out and kept it for posterity. I love that shot!

That's ok carlos, it has been my experience though that most of my friends who love the Stones also liked the Beatles. Of course, there are exceptions. So why exactly have you never liked the Beatles? Not even ONE song?

I've not seen them in about 5 years but never have they been boring! Tyler has to be admired for cleaning up because he was a mess in the 70's, scarey, but HOT! I don't think I ever recall thinking they were posing( more than any other band does), in the ten times I've seen them they've been kick ass! Too loud a few times, but that is about all I can say that would be neg

I was a Beatles AND Stones fan in 1963, I was ten so it was pretty hard to not get caught up in Beatlemania ;no matter what folks say, the Beatles had that SOMETHING, and without the Beatles, many doors would not have opened up for the other British Invasion bands. That is not being disloyal, that's simply a fact. You all know that the Beatles and Stones liked each other and the Beatles even

I'm going to cheat and add " Gimme Shelter" as a tie with Jumpin Jack Flash in the 3rd place! No list would be complete without that one!

I'd have to say " Let It Loose", " Wild Horses", " Jumpin Jack Flash", " Shine A Light", and " Moonlight Mile". Really hard to pick 5!! I have about 25 favorites!

I know what you mean, Gazza! So I guess we'll give it 2 1/2 stars! It certainly could have been edited, alot! Don't you think that it is a real window into the band's inner sanctum? I always said that one of my fantasies would be to go to a Stones recording session, to sit at the control panel and watch the process. The ole fly on the wall routine but I would be visible to interac

Yes Gazza, I love One Plus One, not because it's exciting but it really shows what the Stones were about at that moment in time; Brian was washed up, so totally out of it, slumped on the floor of the recording studio, really quite pitiful. If you couldn't understand why Brian was forced out of the band before that film, you will get it after viewing this eye-opener! As much as I have no

After the obvious Stones films( Gimme Shelter, One Plus One- Sympathy For The Devil and Performance) I love A Hard Days Night and Help. I'm not sure you'd classify " Almost Famous" in the same way as the other music films but I love this movie! I identify with the boy who dreams of writing for Rolling Stone Magazine because that was my dream for years!

WOW, he sure did copy Mick's moves! Amazing! If I were Mick back then, I'd not have liked that very much, although they say impersonation is the greatest form of flattery.

Bjornulf, I do hope that we meet one day! I love this board and think you do a spectacular job keeping it in such fine shape. You are living the life we all dream of living, except I would rather be female as I am, not male when encountering our Boys! You know, the chemistry thing! Keep up the great work( and I use the word " work" lightly), although I do realize the effort it takes on

Thanks very much, Lukester. I am currently unemployed, a down-sizing of the business, so maybe I'll have more time to start my book. Maybe you read about my Dad in the chapter from the book written by my friend Marilou Regan?? About 6 years ago she had the great idea of putting together a book comprised of chapters written by Stones fans from all over the world telling their own stories, w

I was away on vacation, to the ocean, no computer, no IORR! I missed you guys! I'm glad you liked my story, all true, and I do think I will write a book one day, more for myself really. You would have loved my Dad! He died at 49, devastating time for me because I was only 21 and I am an only child. It was 6 months after that Buffalo show that he took me too. Some things you never recover f

My biggest disappointment was missing the Beatles at Shea Stadium; my poor Dad had a chance at 2 tickets for me, I was 12, and John had just made his famous remark about he Beatles being bigger than Jesus!! Fans were burning Beatles' records in the streets! My Dad was afraid we'd be caught in a riot in NYC, a real possibility if you recall how volatile the 60's were. He asked me

What about " Jump On Top Of Me" and "Sex Drive"? Very obviously sexual unlike " Live With Me " where Mick talks about the butler and maid " behind the pantry door". I like the subtle sexual references, not the blantant ones, not only in Stones lyrics. That's why the old movies are more romantic, today everything is out in the open, balls to the wall

Absolutely right, 64!! Yikes! All the more reason to just enjoy his solo stuff, and appreciate that he is still so creative. And Roadster, I am so not irritated but I do have strong opinions....can you tell? I just don't like cheap shots and alot of the criticism is just plain bogus!

Toomuchforme, I think you're right about Mick poking fun at the encounter with Britney! How could anyone think he'd be showing off meeting HER?? As for showing off his social status...NOT! It is just a small part of his life, thus a very quite series of images. Great, you all do not like all of the videos and tunes, but in a compilation, isn't that always true? And as for you, Road

He doesnt give a rats ass if you like it, he is looking back on his carrer and his life and the events in history that have run parellel to his life! God you all are so relentlessly negative and jaded!!! Mick has lead an extraordinary life, has produced some really great stuff, not ALL, but certanly the bulk of it is amazing. Listen to

Adrian, the interest seemed pretty wide-spread; I really would not have picked up on it had it not been so prevelant! When I rode in cabs, rode on trains and buses, ate in the restaurants and pubs the pictures were everywhere, Diana and Charles' face on everything, from tea cozies, to cups, plates, front pages of newspapers etc. Now I know you're thinking that it's just the lower a
