I would love an album of Chess label covers; Little Walter, Wolf, Muddy, Chuck, Buddy, etc...Call it "The Stones Play Chess". The album cover could be Keith playing chess outdoors with Chuck Berry. Hey, I can dream, can't I? Forum: Tell Me
Cool stuff. I saw RTF back in the day. One of the tightest bands I ever saw/heard.
Some personal faves:
Where Have I Known You Before - RTF
Crosswinds - Billy Cobham
Spectrum - Billy Cobham
Stanley Clarke album with Vulcan Prince
Believe It - Tony Williams Forum: Tell Me
The days of the Stones playing together for the love of the music is over. If and when they get together again it will be for the money only. IMHO. Forum: Tell Me
Remember the Stand UP lp jacket with the pop-up when opened? So cool. Stand Up and Benefit are my favorite Tull albums. Liked their bluesy 1st one too. Forum: Tell Me
Fits so well on the album....and a great album it was....their zenith...never to be reached again. Some Girls was a blip in the graph, but after Exile, it was all down hill. Forum: Tell Me
I remember after the greatness of Exile, GHS was a major come down. IORR was better, but not by much. The bar was set too high. They never reached those heights again. Forum: Tell Me
I was a US soldier stationed at Ft Hood, TX in early 1970. EVERYONE there was going to VietNam; it was just a matter of time. At that point, if I got orders to go, I wasn't sure if I would go or skip to Canada. I was really torn. I took a chance and volunteered for special assignment overseas, hoping for a miracle. A few weeks later I received orders...I was to be stationed at SHAPE He Forum: Tell Me
