None for me. VL was my very first tour (1 show only though), so it is a true highlight in my "Stones fan career"! Loved all tours after that. But I can understand why those who saw them in "their prime" think otherwise. I have nothing to compare 1995-onwards to! ---

The first Stones album I bought myself was in summer 1995 when I was 18 and in Hastings, UK on a month´s stay ("language school"). It was the 3-CD box London Years - Singles Collection. It´s funny to recall now that, even though I had listened to my Dad´s records (and he didn´t have them all), the first time I even heard JJF was a few days before my first show in June 1995, on the radio

I discovered them accidentally, which is funny - as my parents always tell me they played a lot of Stones records at home when I was little.... But I just cannot remember it. Weird, really. I remember so much other music from home. When I was 13 (in 1990, as my nick would tell you) we were to write a school paper about a band or artist. As I didn´t get my wish since others had chosen it alread

I spoke with Darryl a few minutes at the Rattlesnake Inn in Seattle in Nov 2005, that was great to say the least! Very nice guy.

I love Queen, number 3 on my list of favourite bands. Freddie was outstanding. I discovered Queen, and this is embarrassing, in "Wayne´s world"... with the wonderful Bohemian Rhapsody. A bit later (?), it was Freddie´s Living on my own. I was in my early teens and it was only several years later that I listened more to Queen. Big fan now though. --

I actually heard Bette Midler´s Beast of Burden years before the original, and I still think that is a very good version! JJF by Aretha, indeed, Otis with Satisfaction... But although there are many good Stones covers, I have yet to find one that beats the original.

The Stones made a raw rocker with Brian on top slide form out of a rather dull Beatles original. Love this one!

Quotestonehearted Any fans of the UK series Bottom here (Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson)? They did a Halloween episode (Series 3, Episode 2) titled "Terror". Oh, haha! Yes, Bottom makes me laugh. Those two disgusting and violent men...

Quotecrholmstrom QuoteLQ1977 This night 8 years ago I saw the Stones at Key Arena in Seattle! :-) So, Happy Halloween indeed! Me too! The night Ronnie was too "adjusted" to play. I went to Portland 2 nights later also. Was he - how? I was probably too much in my Stones coma to notice...And too absorbed by it being my very first US show! I was also in Portland 2 nights later. Had gr

Happy belated 77th to my favourite bass player! Saw him with his Rhythm Kings some years ago, 1st row was so close to the stage that we could have touched the artists if we had made the effort. It is the only time I have seen Bill, as I had my first Stones show in 1995... It was a great show!

Just discovered a radio programme which is probably not new at all! It is called Radio Rock (Norwegian channel P1), hosted by the o´knowledgeable Bård Ose - who has among other things written a wonderful book about the Stones songs and albums up to Steel Wheels. I have read that book so many times, it is a great discography with little comments and stories in between. Anyhow, at the moment he is

I can only agree to all the praise that´s been said here. GS is perfect! The magical intro, the lyrics, Mick´s vocal, Merry Clayton and everything else! Just wonderful. I will never forget my friend´s face when we were in Copenhagen in 2003, it was her very first Stones show and she heard Lisa Fischer on GS. When the song ended, she was totally gobsmacked. When she finally was able to speak,

It took me many years before I even heard this album, mainly because I became a fan only in the mid-90s and had so much to explore! But it is one of those albums that has evolved for me, and although it is by all means no LIB, I still like it a lot. She was hot and Too tough are especially good, listened to SWH just this evening on my mp3 - coincidentally. ---

I love Voodoo Lounge! I was a very "new" fan when it was released and it was so exciting with a new Stones album! In 95 I saw my first show and that was it. Die-hard fan in the house! I could do without a few of the songs, but all in all VL is one of the Stones album I play most frequently! Brand new car has really grown on me, what a great song! The touching Out of tears. The worst (m

Quotejamesfdouglas Brian died before I was born - when I got into the Stones heavy as a teen he was just kind of a ghost to me. Are there any good interviews with him around? I became a fan in the early 90s as a teen, and Brian was instantly my favourite Stone! Still is. Who cares that I was not even close to being "planned" back then. Love these photos, keep them coming! More Brian

Quoterollingon When I read the comments here, I must say the Stones have made an astonishing number of songs that are very highly appreciated by some fans, although I wouldn't care myself about some song, there always seems to be people that like it very much, this tells something about the band, they have been very capable of doing great songs even in the recent decades, on the other hand t
