Sounds real cool T.T. Be proud of yourself for this one. I'd love to know how you snuck in the device to record this one, but perhaps that's best kept a secret, eh? Thanks again...can't wait to complete the setlist. You have ensured that my memory of this fantastic show will have it's own permanent soundtrack.

The show was amazing..my buzz has not worn off yet! Perhaps the best show I have ever been to, and certainly the best Stones show among the dozen or so I had the good fortune to attend. Hopefully someone who has donwloaded it will be so kind as to share it with the rest of us?!?! Please! MP3 is not a dirt word to me! I will gladly accept the tracks in this form and sing your praises for all

Stop bitching, Mitch. You are in the wrong place if you think that sort of thinking flies anymore! Honestman, you are one of many fine folks on this site who represent the way things can be versus the way things used to be. Buying bootlegs at the odd record store, flea market or from shady characters can now, thankfully, be a thing of the past. If the past is where some folks wish to remain

Since I am also on the prowl for this show, and asked for it unsuccessfully some time back, here's a great write-up of the event and the recording that IS OUT THERE SOMEWHERE!!! Gold rings on ya if you can provide us with this recording!

This might help fill in a bit of the legend that is The Red Devils: Hey BARTMAN! Thanks so much for this...very cool stuff indeed. Have you folks experienced The Black Keys? Not that I am comparing them to The Red Devils, but as far as a "current band" perfoming amazing, rootsy, gutsy, powerful and truly original blues, there are none finer!

Sharing a mutual love of the Rolling Stones is what brought me to this site and others (Shidoobee, Rocks Off) way back when, and is what keeps me coming back just about everyday! But recently it's been a blast to learn what other artists Stones fans enjoy listening to. One guy I always loved listening to, but who I have never seen live, is the great rockabilly singer Robert Gordon. I&

OpenG...cool stuff once again I am listening to Key To The Highway right now. ("sing it, Keith!") Can you repost CYHMK? As stated above, I tried all three links and none are currently working. No way I can enjoy the rest of this if I know this song is out there and I don't have it!!! Thanks again!

BTW...his singing is fine (whoever it is), not unlike many blues singers I have seen /heard over the years. Capable may be the right word. Besides, isn't it the guitar we are listing to here!

Great stuff, OpenG...I now have something to help me get through my Sunday chores! BTW...am I correct in assuming Taylor is the singer here? Your list of band members did not ID the vocals. Thnx.

Now THAT sounds like something we need to hear! Makes me wonder if other bands have ever performed tribute shows to the Stones. And, as for the rare live stuff, ROPENI, I'd love to hear it. My eaddress is available. Personally, I never went to Max's, but the Peppermint Lounge, Danceteria, The Bottom Line, Privates, Heat, The Palladium, The Ritz were favorites. My buddies and I we

You have made my otherwise crappy day! Your recent posts got me to thinking about Live At Max's Kansas City, a great album from my past that I have never replaced on cd. Great stuff...maybe it's time I start writing up my list for Santa (and start being a good boy!). Thanks again for the the Thunders. Don't know if I am the only one grooving on this stuff, but I am enjoying

Honestman, keep doing what you've been doing. It's the passion we all bring to this board that makes it a cool place. But sometimes passions can clash, and that's okay, too. One of the intriguing things about this site, and other Stones fans sites I hit on an almost daily basis, is where everyone comes from. The globe is very much represented! So don't let the language h

From a VH1.com online bio comes this: "Following in the footsteps of his idol Keith Richards, Johnny Thunders (born John Anthony Genzale, Jr.) lived the ultimate rock & roll life, spending most of his days wasted and churning out tough, sloppy three-chord rock & roll." He often was a mess, but more often he was great. My love of the early days of punk is second only to my

As far as I'm, concerned, the question is not if but when they will do this! They began as fans of the blues, and they clearly have a love of this style of music to this day. Over the years, they've guested on blues artists albums (most memorable is the Jimmy Rogers "Blues Blues Blues" cd, where Mick and Keith appear on two of the cd's best tracks), brought blues arti

Request for the full evenings performance from this event: Live at the 10 Spot Port Chester, N.Y., Oct. 25, 1997 Although there were just five songs on the televised portion of the MTV series "MTV's Live At The 10 Spot", the audience got to hear a total of 11 songs. Does anybody have a recording of this complete setlist? I know I asked for this some months back, but sin

Wow! I love these Johnny Thunders songs (this one and "I'd Much Rather Be With The Boys" in another thread)! Boy, do I miss him, and Joey Ramone, too. While I saw the Ramones about a dozen times, I never got to actually see Johnny Thunders. I went to see him and the Heartbreakers three times, and each time Johnny was, uh, um, unable to make it! Walter Lure filled in and on

If this is the cd that came inside a copy of Uncut magazine, it is very, very cool. Down The Road Apiece and Rocket 88 are classics and sound fantactic on this set. And Ruler of My Heart is one of the greatest female vocals of all time. Seething with coolness. Having a collection of some of Keith's favorite songs was a cool idea, indeed. A great companion cd to this is is from the "

Nice job, cds. I have a denim jacket from the VL tour with a variation of this on the back, and the wierd voodoo guy image on the front left over the heart. Of course, it's shrunk (or have I gotten bigger?) since I got it. Thanks for the images.
