I think they only played 'Satisfaction' two or three times on the '78 tour. I was at Philly and they played it there. Side note- Philly was a short set day (exhaustedly discussed), maybe 75-80 minutes but it was pure rock. Fast, sloppy, powerful, hard, in your face, rock n roll, better than 4 hours of the Boss in my opinion.

I went to one show as well, the night Axl ran around the track and they did not play 'Sweet Child O'Mine' but another song for the encore. Stones blew them away on my night 1981, San Fran, J Geils may of topped them. My show count is 45 since '75 and only J Geils has come close.

I think Mick and Keiths fortunes were stalled early on by management but once they gained control they made serious money. This learning curve helped pave the way for these younger bands NOT to make the same mistakes.

I saw 3 BB shows and they all rocked. Mick had the house on the edge with Rambler and the sing alongs on 'Get Off of My Cloud' were the loudest I have ever heard. I too, read too many negative posts here and its discouraging. Whats the point in slamming Keith, Ronnie or anyone else? Really, whats the point?

The song is 'Happy' from 'Nasty Music' and there were a few other's maybe 'Dancing with Mr. D'. At the same time, my friend loved the dual lead on Honky Tonk Women at the very beginning where MT played over KR. I have to ask, did you see a show in '75/'76? I did see one in NY,NY and it was incredible. At the same time, I didn't see them in

Decadent- two definitions- I think of decadent being "a luxurious self-indulgence" and I would say the 1967-1971 period was his best. The second definition means 'decline' and then for Keith I would have to say 2005-present since his arthritis and physical condition seems pretty bad to me.

I don't think so-I don't hear anything that resembles the Stones in the songs, lyrics or playing. And I doubt Mick stated anything negative towards CCR. We know Ike & Tina covered CCR in '69 and probably a year earlier. CCR is America's second best band right after the Allman Brothers Band.

Anytime he wanted back in he would be in. No one grooves like Bill Wyman! Daryl is great, however he is a funk player and can't get those grooves on JJF or even SMU.

Let me add, I love his playing from '69-'73 and most of the time he entered the stratosphere with his solo's. Nothing like '72&'73 for the Stones live and while fans point at Mick Taylor I say look at Keith. AND llok at Jagger using Taylor's solo's to work the lyrics.

QuoteTeddyB1018 I always wanted to hear Keith Richards play. To the extent that the other guitarist compliments and facilitates that, I'm pleased. On Sticky Fingers and Exile, as well as the '69 tour, Mick Taylor fit the bill. As time went on, which may have been Keith's fault as well as Taylor's, the guitar style of the band changed to something more like the Allman Brother

QuoteSend It To me Real Stones never quit. By definition, Bill was never a Stone. I feel like being harsh today. So with this thought process one would think that Brian was even less of a Stone since he was kicked out of the band? He was the ultimate Stone.

Many great posts on this topic. Please let me clarify and add a point or two. Never once in my first post did I mention Ron Wood or disparage his playing. Noodling, in this instance is the word that my firned used and he infers that MY played too much and added some useless playing elsehwere. he wasn't against MT but was stating that he thought MT over did it sometimes. He preffered the St

I have never heard this side of a debate but found myself in it the tother night. I was playing 'Nasty Music aka Timeless Europe and 3 of 4 more titles and a guy said he hated the way Mick Taylor noodled on every song especially 'Happy' where he says he ruined it. He said he never understood the greatetness of MT and why some fans love him over Jones or Wood. he even stated Wo

His playing on 'Get Off of My Cloud' is under rated and it makes the song for me. There are so many examples of Brian. Lets Spend the Night Together, last Time, Paint it Black, Ruby Tuesday, Not Fade Away, Under My Thumb, Red Rooster, Walking the Dog.....

Spent th enight in the parking lot, lots of weed and beer, M80's going off all night long, a few guys tried to climb fences over 50 feet tall. Wound up in front, wild rock n roll day, tomatoe's and more were thrown at Foreigner and its a shame they were pretty good. Mick (reportedly very ill) tore it up. Keith and Ronnie loud and dueling. Show was more like 80 minutes and that included

Ok, who cares that Keith played Satisfaction, Brown Sugar, Midnight Rambler and Jumpin Jack Flash because that was million years ago? I do. I hear your opinion but the track record can prove what a guy is capable of right? Someone wrote Chuck fits in because he as a little Stu and Nicky in him (his style). I agree and I know he pushes the envelope on the setlists. He could go a little
