Horrible during the Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle tour. Absolutely horrible. It wasnt the Rolling Stones. It was an 80's Rock Orchestra featuring the members from the Rolling Stones. Compare it to Going to a Go Go from 81/82. The band on fire. The studioversion is ok though.

One of their most underrated songs. Taylors last great moment with the band. Haunting and Beautiful.

The studioversion is one my favourite songs ....ever Never really liked any liveversion. Played live it's a totally different song. But I have to confess....and yes I know I'm always criticising the steel Wheels tour.....but I really loved the way they played JJF on this tour. Maybe the guitars were too low in the mix and the vegasbackupsingers at the end of the song were not nece

I know there's a lot of people out there who can't stand mp3. They must have everything in FLAC. For example the Fondashow. I just can't recognize any difference between a good quality mp3 and FLAC. Maybe i'm having some problems with my ears. But it feels pretty good to not have that kind of problem concerning the soundquality

This is the song they needed for Voodoo Lounge. If it had been written in 93/94 and produced without the influences from the mid 80's...then....it could have been a true Classic.

Yes it would have worked very well on BAB. BAB could have been a killer album with Worried About You, Slave and Feel on Baby. And without Crazy Mama.

Nota big fan of the Mickbashing and Keith is a victim thing. They need each other. Mick thinking forward - wanting to make a "modern" album -with new influences with Keith not letting Mick go too far away from their original rock/blues influences. That's the great dynamic. The chemistry. When Mick can do whatever he wants too...he often tends to go way too far away from his r

The version from 81/82 is brilliant. One of their all time live highlights. I'm not a big fan of their studiorecording though.

I just hope they avoid the sentimental ballads....like Out Of Tears, Already Over Me or Streets Of Love. (Almost Hear You Sigh was ok) Pointless tunes. Leave the ballads to Keith Otherwise I think we're pretty unfair to Mick. How many interesting uptempo ideas has Keith been able to present in the recent 25 years. Flip the Switch was great, but otherwise ....Rough justice ??? Really.

With the new great psychadelic era in rock in mind (Tame Impala, Unkonwn Mortal Orchestra).....maybe they should record a new TSMR.

Well Keith is the soul of the band. No Doubt. And my favourite album is Exile (Tattoo You is a close second). Very much an Keithalbum. But otherwise a lot of my favourite songs are actually recorded without Keith. O Heaven, Winter, Sway, Moonlight Mile, 100 years Ago, Time Waits For No One...

A bit interesting. I can't say they plaiyng a lot from their 86-06-catalogue but the absence from 1st singles is pretty interesting. Dirty Work-Harlem Shuffle (only in 89/90) Steel Wheels-Mixed Emotions (only in 89/90) Voodoo Lounge-Love Is Strong (only in 94/95 and they actually stopped playing it during the euroleg in 95) Bridges To Babylon-Anybody Seen My Baby (only in 97/98. I love Gimme Shelter and YCAGWYW. Masterpieces.. The title track is very good. As is You Got The Silver Great energy in Live with Me. But really....the song is not that good. Love in Vain and Midnight Rambler. Both great live. Much better than the studioversions. Monkey Man. Great pianoplaying but otherwise....Oouch.... Country Honk Ok....but not that exciting.

Discussing Tattoo You. LIB has always been considered a materpiece while Tattoo You has been rated as a "very good album". Never understood that. LIB was probobly more groundbreaking when it was released. LIB is in the canon of rockmusic.Recorded in an era surrounded by all myths about the band. An Untouchable era. And is of course good. But Tattoo You has aged a lot better

Quotestanlove The only thing that hurts the album for me is Jagger's falsetto voice. I think Worried About You is a good song but I can't listen to it much because of that. Really don't understand why he uses that voice live. The Jaggerfalsetto is my favourite falsetto. Worried About You is so great. And when he uses it live ...that's the only time that he still sounds li

I want to know i this song was rehearsed - or if they considered to perform it - in 81/82. All the singles from the 78-81 era were in the setlists but not this song. The first single from an album released the year before. Coluld have been great live on that tour - with more guitars and Ernie Watts on sax. A bit like Beat Of Burden.
