Not certain about this...but the timing makes sense. The auditions were held at SIR in NYC...correct? The Talking Heads broke up in 1991. Could Tina Weymouth been the female bass player that auditioned for the Stones? I have a faint recollection that it could have been her or Michelle D'Angelo? who played on John Mellencamp's "Wild Night"? Hey...Duke Richardson...

I still think when Mick and Keith took over in 1971 it was a 30/30/20/20 split between MJ/KR/CW/BW. When Wyman split...I think it became 35/35/20/10 between MJ/KR/CW/RW. This is all speculation on my part...but come hell or high water...Keith would never accept less than Mick...and come hell or high water...Charlie wouldn't accept equal footing with Ronnie. I would love for somebod

I read that the reason the album contains no liner notes is Jagger didn't want the fans to know how old these tracks were and he didn't want to give an invitation and confirmation for these musicians to come chasing him down for $. Pecman

Bobby plays on the LA forum shows in 1975... Did they just invite him for those shows because they knew they were filming them for a possible DVD release in 2014/2015? (Lol!) Pecman

This isn't the place that Keith had on Broadway and 3rd above Tower Records? I think Cher also had an apartment too in the building and Island Records was across the street. Pecman

That's awesome...thanks. I too always found the cover to not look like Jagger...but the back was definitely Keith so by default you knew the front was Jagger. That little piece of hair hanging on his forehead on the right side matches and confirms the picture is the one they used for the cover. PECMAN

I guess they weren't lying when they said they were broke 1970/1971...Keith couldn't afford a guitar stand for his Les Paul...leaned it right into his amp speaker. PECMAN

It's so sickening that the 1978 Tour was kept under such wraps with regards to video and photographs... I have no idea what they were thinking... Besides the Texas show and the Anaheim pictures...one would think the tour didn't exist. I know you will all post pictures of different shows...but the point is... that the 1978 tour of the U.S. is the most hard to find pictures and

Michael Cohl is a Saint compared to Irving Azoff. I'm not a basketball fan at all...but if you are in the U.S. Irving Azoff took the owner of the Knicks for $60 million on a baloney contract for Phil Jackson to run the Knicks into the ground the last two years and probably set up a pre-meditated contract buyout. Irving Azoff set the blue print for the American Concert rip-off experi

DandelionPowderman, Totally agree...Miss You and Far Away Eyes are awesome....the stark difference in the two tracks is mind blowing...they really stretched it here...as they went three albums without a country song...and blew away the current market in the height of disco with Miss You. Could you ever imagine The Beatles, The Who or Led Zeppilin recording a disco song and a country song o

Some Girls is awesome...and I'm amazed that IORR fans after LIES...which is obvious...that they would replace Miss You...and Far Away Eyes MISS YOU was the most relevant record they recorded since Gimme Shelter... and the last relevant song (for the times) that they recorded. Disco ruled the airwaves in 1978 (at least here in America) and these boys bodied the disco empire in the he

HEY BV - HMS POST ISNT NEGATIVE - PLEASE REOPEN Hi BV, Everyone on IORR loves and gives $ to The Rolling Stones. Having a thread that discusses the songs we like the least shouldn't be considered negative. It's simply which songs Stones fans like the least. And I'm sure Mick & company would like to know so they don't waste time rehearsing and playing songs the

SOME GIRLS - IF YOU COULD REPLACE ONE TRACK (IORR Editor comment: Please do not post CAPITAL LETTERS subject lines) Some Girls is in the top 5 Stones albums and their best commercially selling album. If you could replace one song with a song on the Outtakes CD...would it be? I think LIES is the Weakest Track on Some Girls. I would replace it with DO YOU THINK I WOULD REALLY CARE.

Unless your the naked fat guy with the small penis at Altamont...nobody actually posted a picture of themselves in the audience at a Stones concert. I thought we would see tons of pictures from different tours from all over the world. That would be great and the intent of this thread. PECMAN

Wow...that's awesome. I'm a bit stumped here. Jagger always seemed to sing live over the studio instrumental tracks. Like this one he does again...but the track has a different mix from the original as there are licks that are not on the "official" Honky Tonk Woman". The French references in the second verse are kind of what Jagger sang on LOVE YOU LIVE...so b

The real brains behind the Stones high ticket prices are Irving Azoff and The Eagles. On the Voodoo Lounge Tour in 1994...the TOP ticket price at Giants Stadium that July was $48.00. The EAGLES played Giants Stadium the next month in August and charged well over a $100 dollars for some tickets but the average price was $92.00. The Stones must of said to themselves...WTF? PECMAN

HAVE YOU EVER FOUND A PICTURE OF YOURSELF AT A STONES CONCERT? Probably only applies to those who were near the stage... Have you ever found a picture of yourself in the audience at a Stones Concert? And I'm not talking about one where you posed for the camera and knew you were taking a picture. The closest I ever was to the stage..was Nov 13th 1981 at MSG right off the front of th
