But would have been OT if Bass had noted that: the "fire sweepin' my very street today/burns like a red coal carpet/mad bull lost its way"

What a way to say thanks to retailers who make these recordings available... I wouldn't have "Hampton '81," "Handsome Girls," the "Voodoo Lounge" DVD and so many other Stones gems if not for them. To say nothing of Neil Young and Bob Dylan releases. Now, instead of showing the tiniest bit of discretion, the fools on this board--the hardcore fans who

Very well done, HalfNanker. Thank you for ignoring some very sensible precautions outlined in earlier posts. Those of us who have been lucky enough visit the above named shops to find excellent Stones materials that MERELY SUPPLEMENT our COMPLETE COLLECTIONS OF OFFICIAL RECORDINGS AND MEMORABILIA FOR WHICH WE HAVE PAID THE STONES AND THEIR CORPORATE PARTNERS MANY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS--we thank

How about the 1990 performances of "Satisfaction"--documented by "At The Max?" Certainly owes a debt to Otis...

"That's How Strong My Love Is" in its Licks Tour debut, Roseland NYC 2002. Jagger shocked the entire room with his performance of the song. The man dug in so hard, he was testifyin'. I was very proud to be a Stones fan that night.

1177. Re: dobro
open-g: the shots to which you're referring are 1969 performances in which Jagger and Richards did "Prodigal Son" as a duo... I know that "Dobro" is actually a brand name...is the instrument the same as a National guitar (immortalized by Paul Simon's "Graceland")? Are they just brand names for a resonator or a steel guitar? And what's the diff

I absolutely fail to understand the affection that people feel for "Voodoo Lounge." YGMR is, at best, a mediocre attempt to rehash "Brown Sugar" and tunes like "I Go Wild" and "Blinded By Rainbows" are dreadful. And the filler-"Baby, Break It Down?!" "Suck On The Jugular?!" Why weren't "The Storm" and "Jump On Top of

Not sure if there is a technical definition of "rock ballad" that I am missing, but here are a few slow tunes and tear jerkers that get to me... From the Stones: "Love In Vain," "Till the Next Goodbye," "Moonight Mile," "You Got The Silver," "Waiting On A Friend," "Winter," "How Can I Stop," "Sweet Black
