Old blue dye discs tend to crap out, I've lost a few audio goodies that way..............

Most of the shows I've been to were quite excellent, no problemos. Buffalo 1978 was kind of weird though. Bikers everywhere. Folk throwing large firecrackers from up in the bleachers, exploding everywhere, in peoples faces etc. We sat there, quite stoned, acid I think, watching the crowd on the floor through binoculars. Two big rowdie types bumped into each other. The one guy broke h

For me, the SACD mixes sound best on headphones but you can't beat the wide stereo on the big livingroom speakers!

I found a set cheap in a used bin. Fine print says they were manufactured in West Germany. Are these the same as the Japanese and EU Hot Rocks 1+2?

Nice one Rockman! Keep up the good work! I slipped Ronnie copies of some of his solo stuff while they were here rehearsing in Toronto last summer. He was asking us out by the gate to find a copy of Now Look, I never did find out why, but was happy to oblige. Think I wrote about this before, but at anyrate not really quite the same as a personal comp for Keith!!!

There's copies going around made from the Japanese laserdisc version, which is a quite an excellent, if not commercial release. It's very well made and sounds great on my surround sound system.

I have a SACD player and the Stones remasters sound great on it, but the regular layer sounds pretty good on a cd player too. I suspect SACD came too late or it might well have been a better industry standard. Fortunately, as it seems to be disappearing as a format, perhaps going the way of the 8 track, the dual layer Stones cd discs should still be playable for years to come. I'

Also on the Stripped Companion bootleg, which may be a better deal coz it's got lot's of the live cd singles and b-sides from the nineties on it too. One stop shopping.....................Should be an official release.

Aha yes! I see your point. A nice live collection from the 72 tour, but which exact dates.....................? Did you get the "Rock and Rolling Stones" disc with 9 bonus trax from Sydney Australia Feb. 27th 73? A pretty cheap silver disc version, tho they screwed up the "Rock and Rolling Stones" disc by inexplicably substituting "We Love You" for "Co

Hi Billy! On the back insert of my Russian Stone Age it lists the 9 bonus tracks and reads; "Recorded in Fort Worth, New York, Philidelphia and Houston June/ July 72." Isn't yours the same? I wonder if they didn't just copy the tracks from the old ABKCO albums in the order they appeared on Stone Age, just like the Russian releases of the Beatles and VJ Capital

I'd suspect they were released on mono as a radio promo release, or somewhere internationally. These were fairly rare, but it was sill done during the early seventies. There also seems to be a Japanese mono Abbey Raod and Let It Be.
