Sure, there is a problem in the overall sound. Keiths guitars just sound weak. You Got Me Rockin for example has nothing to do with the raw sound on VL. On some songs the band turns into the Rolling Hornblowers, the horns are just too much. Charlie´s snaresound is weak, it has to be like on Some Girls for example. After hearing the rumours that they rehearsed it in Toronto I thought: That does not work, Keith has to play that rhythm for 2 minutes before the jam would start, no time to clown etc. But after hearing the first audience recordings from the opening show in Boston I got shivers! I love it, too, but there are a lot more ballads to choose from: Out Of Tears, No Use In Crying, If You really Want To Be My Friend etc. They should not always repeat what they have done successfully. Try out other songs!
