Quotetomk Quoteaudun-eg In the video from the Guitar Legends show in Sevilla '92 you can see and hear the high E-string gets stuck in the fret ends, so Keith has to pull it out. A guitarplayer needs his tools to be flawless and work smoothly all the time. Obviously the Silhouette didn't, so out the window it went. Can't say I blame him. QuoteRip This I think Jagger's backing track to The Worst is sublime...hard to imagine Crow can do better When did Jagger sing backing on that one? On VL it's Keith himself doing the harmonies.

Nowadays he composes with the help of an acoustic guitar where he brings the melodies together with bass runs and single string-work. “I don’t do chords,” he says. “I did play piano a bit, too, though,” he adds. Quote from an interview regarding his 2015 solo effort Back to Basics from 2015. Read the entire interview here:

Claptons slide-work on EKAMGT is truly great. Ronnie's solo is also immaculate. On ICQYB Clapton plays very trademark Clapton and delievers a nice solo along with tasteful fills which is expected. Ronnies solo here is right up there among his best work. Nice to hear!

Quotematxil Fantastic tune. One of the highlights of Undercover (which would have been a great album if they'd dropped the last three songs on it). I think it's their best effort at playing "reggae", maybe because it's not pure reggae. It's a very melancholic, sad, dark, menacing piece, which is exactly what they can be so good at. Sadly overlooked, I wonder how

Quoteliddas The new release by the Rolling Stones is so fantastic. I had to give it a song by song review on my blog. I would say that Clapton plays the first Quit You Baby solo, and Ronnie the second. First is very classy, but the second blows me away! C Yes, no doubt about Clapton doing the first solo and Ronnie the second. Ronnies solo is really up there with his bes

Yes, it's not consistent, and I guess for the official releases the programmed bassdrum is mixed down. Anyway it's clearly not Charlie's bassdrum on most of the clips from 94-95. He has never played like that, and the bassdrum sound is also somewhat different on that song, although very possibly sampled from Charlie's bassdrum.

On 89-90, and 94-95 tour, the bassdrum is also pre-programmed as the percussions are. On Flashpoint they mixed that out with only Charlie's four on the floor bassdrum beat audible, but you can certainly hear it in videoclips and other recordings from those tours. Would be cool if he played it like he did on record. That's an intricate drum pattern. I think he did it on Hyde Park

Listened to the Havana "album" on Tidal just now. Horrible sound! Can@t really see the Blu-Ray beeing much better as it's not a matter of eq. Sounds like it's recorded with a couple of mikes in the audience.

Keith is on fire, mick is as soulful as ever and ronnie really stands out, esp when he plays that thunderbird. incredible show I don´t know if Ronnie can play a Thunderbird as well, but the guitar he is playing is a Gibson Firebird ;-) Ronnie has been known to play bass, so I guess a Thunderbird would sui

Hall of FAME, people. Not "Hall of my personal favourites". That said Hall of fame is a joke. Deep purple still not in there also a joke. I mean, who doesn't know Smoke on the Water? And also, DP has existed as a band almost as long as the Stones. More changes in line up, though but still...

Let's face it. Everyone powerfull (imagined or not) wants the little fish to foresake and pay up. The same with everything. Maybe U2 should stop touring so they wouldn't have to use cause emissions with flights, trucks and other vehicles on one tour that would equal all of this boards members emissions in a lifetime.

The main differences are the refreshed audio mixes on all mentioned releases. On some they benefit the bands performance. On others the clearer audio makes the band sound like a drunken teenage band. Brussels affair springs to mind, as I thought they sounded much better on the old bootlegs. That one not video, though.

Jagger sings on the first song on Don Henlys Cass County. The song is called Bramble Rose and is actually quite good. Jagger also plays harmonica on the song.

Quotedeardoctortake1 Except for No Expectations, Brian's audio is not on this one. Too bad. It was his final performance with the band. And imo it shows that the Stones need to be a two guitar band. Leaving out Jones except for NE is a bummer maybe, but his playing was perhaps not up to par?

Keith plays the black MM at the Guitar Legends - Sevilla Expo '92. During his solo on Going Down, the high e-string gets trapped under a fret edge or something, so the string just makes a funny noise. Keith figures it out and loosen the string, but if these kind of things happen with a guitar, it's not very satisfying. You need to rely on your tools.

When listening to Ronnies awful drumming on Sleep Tonight, there can be no doubt it isn't him on Too Rude. IMO Sleep Tonight could have one of Keiths finest moments on record if it wasn't for the drumtrack.
