You can't understand why most of us pick 68-72? 68-72 is the essence of the stones. If you don't like that era, you can't be a fan of the ultimate stonessound surely. That's the reason why they are still here (and the return to form on Some Girls). Before and after that era a lot of classic albums were recorded by the Stones but never a better one. When I first heard

Gasoline Alley, Every Picture tells a Story, An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down, Never a Dull Moment (all of them are with Ron Wood), Atlantic Crossing, A Night On The Town, Foot Loose & Fancy Free are all terrific albums. And the first 4 I mentioned are better then the faces IMHO. Those albums = Rod Stewart solo... you can't deny it... that's great stuff. Not his 80

Yes, I know... I'm not a big fan of what he is doing now. But that's not what Rod really stands for.

Some guys mentioned Rod Stewart solo. He did record some supurb albums in the 70s. If you like The Faces, I guess you should like some of his solo work better(Every Picture, Gasoline Alley)

JAGGER ANGERED BY DAUGHTER'S PLAYBOY PROPOSAL ROLLING STONES star SIR MICK JAGGER is furious with his daughter ELIZABETH for accepting a $380,000 (GBP200,000) offer to pose naked for men's magazine PLAYBOY. The 20-year-old British beauty - who currently models for LANCOME and Spanish clothing firm MANGO - has been assured the lucrative sum will ensure a set of "very

I thought it was great that the stones asked him. They must have thought: he's a nice bloke and he enjoys what he does... let's get him on stage. I was very suprised when I saw them on one stage, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not that I'm a fan, but Justin is ok. He wants to make good music, not just being a pretty face.

Gotta agree on Jimi Hendrix... He was a fine guitarist... was able to write good songs. But that's it. I never considered him the God everyone says he is. So actually he's overrated. I have all his albums though... and they are really good... but I heard better songwriters, better guitarists & better vocalists.

Not everyone likes the bands you mentioned. You mean bands you think are just overrated. Sacred are bands like The Beatles, Stones or artists like Presley. I mean Anastacia considered as sacred??? She has one hit album. Just a difference in the word choice, but I know what you mean. Overrated bands/artists: Nirvana Pearl Jam (worst band ever) Most "The Something + s" type of

It's not the lyric Whop bopaloolah wop ba boom, but the way Little Richard screamed that lyric IMHO. Pat Boone covered that, and it was shit. I was just comparing Eminems lyrics to those of a class act... like Chuck D. Could have easily mentioned another one, political or non political: KRS ONE, Q-Tip, Mos Def, LL Cool J (in his prime), De La Soul, 2Pac, Beastie Boys,... Eminem is sel

Eminems lyrics genius? Compare his lyrics to what Chuck D wrote on the Public enemy classics. I used to be a a hiphop fan. But all the new hip hop artists are nothing compared to the great masters. Eminem could be the best of the newcomers, but there is no competition. Chuck D will blow him away.

Springsteen is already a legend IMHO. And the man remains humble in an a very honest way. All the stars of USA for Africa arrived in big expensive limos at the recording studio in 1985. Bruce arrived in a rented car and parked on the other side of the road. It's a little thing that I just thought of... but it describes that he's just a simple southern new jersey bloke. And he is s

Only the intro of Don't Look Back In Anger is stolen. The song itself isn't. After Morning Glory they became repetitve. The chord structure of D'You Know What I Mean is the same as Wonderwall (just an example). But they continued writing good songs... but we heard everything we need to hear from oasis on their first two records. Oasis is wellknown for plagiarism. T-Rex Get I

So Young is actually a 1978 song (+ some overdubs)... so not really a contender for Voodoo Lounge.
