We must not forget that the tour only consists of 14 shows. It must be profitable. Sure, the Bigger Bang stage was much more impressive, but the costs of that thing could be spread over about 140 shows...

What could be the reason that some songs are rehearsed, but not played during the tour? I can imagine Jaggers voice has to be in good shape to sing songs like Worried about you or Fool to Cry, but when all agree to rehearse a song, and especially a song that's not played too much, then why drop it in favour of a regular?

almost every colored vinyl set is sold out now and the trick with free items no longer works. It looks like they discovered and fixed the problem. The shipping date for my order still is set on tomorrow..

I love Beggar's Banquet, Exile and Let it Bleed, but they're not my most played RS albums. My top 5: - Sticky Fingers - Tattoo You - Steel Wheels - The Rolling Stones Now! - Goat's Head Soup

I can't imagine they're actually going to ship it, but a buddy of mine bought a GHS deluxe boxset for next to nothing from Amazon thanks to a similar mistake. And by law and regulations they were obliged to deliver for that amount.. If it works out, I owe you big time treaclefingers

Stones fans and musicfans in general. When I see those 'the best 50 Rolling Stones tracks by our readers' lists, Tops rarely makes it. And when people on fora mention 'hidden Stones gems' they usually come up with songs like Winter, Let is Loose, Faraway Eyes or Down in the Hole.

Tops is easily one of the most overlooked en underestimated Stones tracks. Tops - Worried About You would have made a fantastic single.

Totaly agree with you, but the majority of the people at Stones concerts will be pretty disappointed if they didn't get to hear Satisfaction or Start me Up, I think. On the other hand, we hardcore fans are hearing/seeing the same setlists over and over again since 1989 or so. There has to be a golden mean, right? Thats why I brought the 15 songs down to 10-11. That gives them space to

Too bad they never tried Paint it Black as an opening song...Would be perfect, I think. . To me, every Stones show should always include: Tumbling Dice, Street Fighting Man, Brown Sugar, Jumping Jack Flash, Start me Up, Sympathy for the Devil, Honky Tonk Women, Gimme Shelter, Midnight Rambler, Paint it Black and Satisfaction. Miss You, IORR and YGAGWYW are also regulars, but they're my

Ah Diesel. I was talking about E10 'benzine'. In Holland Kfz-Steuer for diesel is way higher than for benzin (approx. €200 higher per 3 months).

No it's not. Germany has been cheaper for decades. Maybe there were some incidents here and there, but overal the prices are way lower because of taxes. And so are alcohol. tabacco, cars, houses ect...

Quoteschwonek Quoteribbelchips €2.18 per litre in Holland today. The highest price in the world. Well. I doubt that. I live next to the border and we got to the Netherlands a lot to get cheap gas. In Germany it is always more expensive: 2,30 - 2,60 even. Haha, no way! Where do you live in Germany? I live in the northern part of Holland, near Emsland. People in my town are going over the borde

€2.18 per litre in Holland today. The highest price in the world. They're pushing us towards hybrids and full electric cars by making the gas unaffordable. Leftwing parties here in Holland propose to levy taxes on meat and airline tickets too. They're fully into megalomaniac billion dollar climate plans of the European Union and we, the people, are going to bleed for that.

1995 june 18 Landgraaf Holland: Not Fade Away. It was my first show, I was 15 years old and there was no internet, so I didn't know what to expect. I was blown away by this opener. Sympathy for the Devil was the highlight of the show. With the intro movie, the red lights and all the inflatable voodoo figures and Jagger in his iconical witch doctor clothes. Magical... 1998 june 29 Amsterda

Compared to other recent Lego sets like the Nintendo NES console, Star Wars and Harry Potter stuff, tis is a bit dissapointing to me. A flat tongue that looks like it was cut out by a four year old? Was that really the best they could do? The logo itself is nice, but the black background is ugly as F. A classic stage (Voodoo Lounge or Bridges to Babylon) with Stones Lego figurines or a 3d logo

Love this release! What a fantastic setlist and the boys are in great shape. I can understand why this was held back for so long though. Mick messes up here and there (clearly has problems with the falsetto in both Fool to Cry and Worried about you for example) being the perfectionist that he is..

QuoteBoognish None of us know exactly what is going on with their private life. Some of us like to think we know them but we don't. For all we know, Keith could be farting on stage the whole time. Maybe Ron always groans when getting up from a chair. We just don't know. They're not superhuman. How they are on stage shouldn't be an indication as to how they are in private.

Quoteillyad1960With the exception of the wrinkles, why doesn't Keith, Mick or Ronnie exhibit any other effects of aging? Keith obviously has some form of arthritis in his fingers. They're swollen and are the main reason he can't really play solo's anymore. He also has a beer belly and as stated above, is nearly bald. Singing and playing guitar simultaniously seems hard too

Yeah, same here. It was my first gig and it still is my favorite to date. I like the big screens of the No Filter stage, but I kinda miss the gimmicks and I miss the pyro too.. The explosions when the Stones hit the stage on the SteelWheels/Urban Jungle and Bridges to Babylon tour really added something.

Haha no way. If there's one band that deserves the titel of 'America's Rolling Stones', it should be the Black Crowes. They play music like the Stones, bluesy, groovy and dirty. To me, Peter Wolf is just another Mick Jagger wannabee.

Apparently there are just enough Stones fans who buy this blindly to make this kind of easy cash-in releases profitable. I wonder how many of them actually play these releases, when I hear people say they're even buying multiple versions of them (2CD+BR, boxset, vinyl in all the color variations ect).

I doubt that. 720p or 480p on DVD will look exactly the same as 720p or 480p on Bluray. Yes, it's faster and it has a highter storage capacity, but when the data on both discs is the same, you won't see a difference on your TV. As for the artwork: I kinda like it actually.

But back then, you went to the stadium or arena early, you sprinted to the front of the field and you were in 'the pit' for free. Fans who were willing to put in a some effort stood in front. Now those seats are for fans with the biggest wallets.. And indeed, you pay more and more for less. The Stones are not getting any better (to put it mildly) and the overall concert experience j
