The SSE Hydro was only 60 % full, though. Wish they had played New Order T-shirt, which they did in Leeds. This is my fourth TN show after Edinburgh 2017 and London 2018 and 2022, the last two both headlining acts for the All Points Eas

Another nice little anecdote telling the man’s personality. So touching. I was at both dates at the old Wembley Stadium 1999, my first Stones shows on their home turf, which makes me feel it come home even more.

FYI, for their canceled five Budokan nights in Tokyo, Jan 28 - Feb1, 1973, that would have been the Stones’ first ever Japanese appearances, cult psychedelic/hippie rockers Flower Travellin’ Band were assigned to support them. Had the shows materialized as planned, the FTB would have contributed to the legend that wasn’t to be.

Quoteleteyer I just wish they would never have any opening acts. Of their six live appearances in Japan 1990-2014, only 2006 had a support act (Richie Kotzen). Can’t say I was impressed. Could have lived without it.

QuoteIrix Sold out at . I’m not a vinyl collector any more at all, but ordered a copy Thursday morning, about 5AM UTC, and “Current Sales” was 8618 at that time. Good decision-making. Too tempting to miss this one, a bizarre artifact. The video freaks me out

Porno for Pyros…blast from the past! I saw them at the original Club Quattro in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, September 26, 1993, during their first and so far last Japan tour. I remember the crowd going mental, some members diving over the others on the tiny club floor, causing Perry Farrell to laugh at the sight, looking amused by the chaotic scene his new band brought about. Thirty years ago…where

I’m wondering if I should hold myself back from listening until the album release — or is resistance futile?

Quoteangee Yes! At least Eric had a full set for Crossroads, night #2, and even brought Stevie Wonder onstage for "Crossroads." Played acoustic "Layla" too, mostly the hits... And Stephen Stills joining in on Love The One You’re With, which was played in Eric’s slot. More like a mini-set rather than full set, though.

I found a plenty of photos of the fundraiser. It’s linked on RFKJ’s official website. As it is political-related, I don’t put the URL here. Search by yourself if you want to have a look.

QuoteBeastyBurdeny My guess is they will do a traditional 12-14 date mini tour of a single continent, followed by something similar the following year. That’s the best and safest bet and most plausible scenario, yeah, I agree. My wishful thinking-self, though, is hoping they will embark on a two-year, two-leg-per-year world tour, armed with and spurred by the new album, and with new improved

Quotekeefriffhards Just listening to some of the orchestra tour again, it's inspiring, spinetingly good, Roger is singing better than for so long, how lol. They played very near me at The Eden Project but friends of mine said Pete wasn't very good so wasn't too bothered i couldn't make it. Pleased you enjoyed the shows you caught though. Quotekeefriffhards No didn't see this years show. I can still compare The Who to the days of Moon, there's so much incredible footage available through the years. As you say, The Who on a bad day is still a great show, but I'm a bit of a shallow person in some ways, seeing old guys hardly move doesn't cut it for me, this music requires a level of energy to do it justic

I wonder, could they have released the new album in time for the original schedule of the North American Summer tour (June 6 - August 1) even if they had finished the mixing by St. Valentine’s Day and the “injury” had not happened? Manufacturing, marketing, press conference, stage design/making, tour rehearsals etc…bit tight if possible isn’t it? Hard to tell.
