QuoteGasLightStreet The Chiefs are in second in the AFC but are the only team to clinch even though they have the same record as the Steelers, who are first, and have no clinched. The NFL's numbers, or whatever the hell it is that is used to have teams "clinch" a playoff spot, is ridiculous. Clearly a team with at least 9 wins is in. There are too many teams with too many losse

Quotecrholmstrom Great record! Some people don't realize how integral Mike Campbell was to Tom Petty's sound. Besides co-writing a lot of the songs (+ Don Henley's Boys of Summer amongst others), Mike co-produced most of the records, Heartbreakers & solo. While Tom was a better singer, Mike is a better guitar player. & happily there is plenty of evidence of that on the Dirt

He sounded a little grouchy to me, but understandable with all that's happening in the world right now, Great response though: "We don’t do concepts; we don’t have plans. All we need is enthusiasm, and the rest will come." Can't wait for the album!

Quotejbwelda I ordered this a couple weeks ago (four CD compilation of live recordings for those who may not know), and have been playing it on and off since I got it. This probably isn't news to a lot of people, but as an only sometime fan of the band, I was really REALLY impressed by this set. For one thing, the cover songs...f'in ROCK! Cover some really great stuff too: Something

Yes, if you remember Grease you're not young... I'm 53, run an 8 min mile, bench press 225lbs (multi sets), 40-50 pushups on the fly, I fondly remember Gr

QuoteGasLightStreet Not sure why such a stink has been made about a funky little thrown off track. That aside, it's made me like Living In A Ghost Town even more for some reason. Agree 100%, much a fuss over hardly nothing... And I like Scarlet, it gets along fine for me. I did the same thing, gravitate more to LIAGT too. Any new tuneage from this band, I guess is a bonus for me

The Rolling Stones work with a crew from UK, USA and other places, and they would need to travel, eat and be served by "ordinaly people" which may or may not be carrying the virus. Trust science. QuoteGazza If they can tour again in 2021 (and right now thats a VERY big 'IF') I'd expect them to play the North American shows that should have happened this year and then play Europe in summer 2022. The usual formula. Both those tours could just as easily be pushed back another year or maybe not happen at all. I wouldnt be surprised if they never tour again the way things are a

One of the fondest memories of seeing Tom and the Hertbreakers for me was in 1995. They kicked off their tour in Louisville (Louisville Gardens). An unbelievable concert, opened with Love is a Long Road, closed with American Girl/Wake up Time. And I've never seen him play a better live version of You Wreck Me than that evening. Really miss him too. One of the greats!

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteElmo Lewis Glyn also said "The Eagles wanted to be a rock band, and they were not a very good one!" He did produce "Best Of My Love" - country flavored and a big hit. He wanted them to continue in that style. HA! That's for damn sure. They have some good tunes and some fantastic musicianship, obviously Hotel California comes to mind - I

Beautiful times and memories I'm sure. A friend of mine stationed over in Europe at the time (during a timely furlough - long story) with the USAF, got a gig with a mate of his (who was working at the time for AB - Budweiser, who sponsored most if not all of Urban Jungle) they had front row and back stage access back in that day. 12-13 shows in a row, he always rubs in... Thoroughly enjoyed this. Mick's energy was positively infectious, Charlie is how do you say, "Charlie Freaking Watts!", Keith was in his own space for sure, but undeniably still that aura of coolness and origination.
