C'mon imjohswatson, the folks on here know way better than his doctors that he should take off until at least 2020 damnit! His doctors have no idea of his recovery time or anything about summer time heat but by golly the posters on here do. I gotta tell you, reading the messages on this thread suggesting what Mick should do is the best entertainment out there! Don't relax people, keep i

sarahunwin--maybe because the doctors told Mick he can perform safely much sooner than that! I'm baffled by all the "recommendations" from those here with obviously clear medical expertise. I'm sure Mick is reading everyone's recommendations here to make a determination as to when to tour again as opposed to doing exactly what his doctor tells him. Who wouldn't? Ever

"No one should have that much disposal income"---I am a rare poster on this site but when I saw this quote I was just gobsmacked and couldn't let it pass. Not sure what else to say but wow.

This is an article about my meeting Keith that was in the paper around the time of Desert Trip: xxxxxxx, 57 of Miami has seen the Stones 40 times. One highlight was having front row seats in London, where he chatted with Richards' wife, Patti Hansen, and got a copy of the set list from Lisa Fischer. “Seeing them in their home town was simply outstanding,” he said. “The crowd was amazing.”

Hi Plink, Hopefully I can put your mind at ease a bit. Driving from north Naples to the show in Miami will involve driving in exactly zero big city traffic. You will be driving due east from Naples to the stadium where the concert is on a 4 lane divided very nice highway for about 75 minutes. The stadium is about 17 miles north of downtown Miami and about 5 miles west of I-95 which is the majo

Is it possible to just hang in the back of the pit and have some personal space or is it just too crowded for that?

If you are physically able, walking the 20 minutes to the Stadium Hotel will be much easier than taking a tram, certainly after the show. After the show the traffic will be insane, even going the short distance to the hotel and there will be plenty of people walking in that direction, either to the hotel or to their car as there is a lot of parking in that direction. Just be prepared as the Stadi

OhYesMeAGain--sounds like a good plan. The stadium is easy for an uber driver to get to and there will be a ton of ubers around. I have just had a hard time getting reception after a show to request the uber and/or find my driver. Arranging a pick up in advance is a great idea. I didn't know you could do that. By in the middle of nowhere, I just mean it's not in an area where you could

OhYesMeAgain--it would only be crazy based on the expense. If you can get a ride with someone or split an uber it's not crazy at all. On a Saturday afternoon to get to the show should only take about 90 minutes from Naples. However, getting an uber after the show could be problematic. I have done so a few times both from that specific stadium as I live in Miami and from other stadiums. It is

Thanks a lot AlmostHearYouSigh! I really appreciate the info. I land in Philly the afternoon of the show and was worried about being stressed trying to get to and from the show and that's a bummer on show day. You have made me feel much better. Thanks again.

Hi Philly people--I have a quick question. I am coming from out of town for the show and staying at the Fairfield Inn Downtown/Convention Center at 261 South 13th street. Is there public transportation/easy way to get to the stadium for the Stones show from where I will be? Thanks in advance.

35 Love--who said anything about a boat? To get from Miami to Naples is a 90 minute drive on a highway. I live here in Miami and literally have no idea what you are talking about. I don't mean to be rude but you are making no sense and giving bad advice. You can rent a car and drive on a straight highway to Naples. In fact some people who live in Miami/Naples commute to the other city for wo

I saw Van in Miami for the first time last year. All I can say is if you are a music fan, go! His voice is still excellent and his band is amazing.

To my friends local to Pasadena or LA--I am staying in a hotel in old town Pasadena. Is it walking distance to and/or from the Rose Bowl from the hotel? I went to a Rose Bowl game years ago and remember getting in and out by driving was just a horrible experience. Would much prefer to walk if that is doable. Thanks in advance for the intel.

I wonder about ticket sales as there is a ton of advertising for the show in South Florida and tickets are already on Groupon and the show isn't until September.

Ohyesmeagain--I live in Miami and go to Naples frequently. It is a very easy drive that takes anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on where you are staying in Miami. You drive right through the Everglades which, by the way, is a National Park, and not something to be avoided. But don't worry, you drive through the Everglades on a very nice highway which fences out the wildlife. It

Further to Hairball's comment, while it is nice to have a good opener, I do not think they sell a single extra ticket because of who the opener is. The prices are too expensive for that. Everyone that is there is there to see the Stones.

Quick ticket buying question for the group--today I tried to buy tickets for Bob Seger on my computer at work and after getting tickets in my cart, it said something like we can't complete the transaction on this device so please use a different device. I have bought many many tickets on my work computer/laptop, including numerous Stones tickets on the upcoming tour. I know that this has hap

Why the thought that Boston isn't selling well? As Jeter points out, there are very few standard tickets available. The band and/or ticketmaster would have to be business dumb, which they clearly are not, to hold back standard price tickets because the sooner they sell them, the more money they make on the float which is exactly what they are doing by selling the tickets so many months in ad

It seems as if this tour has sold much more quickly than zip code did but of course the markets are much bigger. Miami is a notoriously bad concert city, being very easy to get tickets to almost anything at any time. One of the many perks of living here. And it appears to be sold out as to standard tickets. I am sure they will release more as the packages don't sell and the platinum don'

Thanks Daspyknows. I was hoping that was the case as I love the idea of the pit experience but don't care about being next to the catwalk or rail. Too crowded for enjoyment but different strokes for sure!

I have a general pit question for those that have been. Is it possible to hang towards the back of the pit and not feel like a sardine? I have had front pit for Springsteen for a number of shows and if you didn't feel like pushing up to the front, hanging in the back of the pit was a great experience. Still very close but no mass of humanity/subway cramming type experience. I am doing pit in

While I am sure I could have done better if I held out longer I wanted to know I was in the pit, Keith side, so I bought Platinum Pit/Keith for $650 for Jax and for $700 for Philly. Feel good about the lack of stress between now and the shows even though could possibly have saved a couple hundred for each show. To me it wasn't worth the continual checking of ticketmaster and stubhub. Rather

Pit tickets for most shows on stubhub are going for $700-$900 with all the brand new excitement of the onsales and tour announcement. I'm pretty sure from past experience that by 1-2 months before show time those who want pit tickets will be able to get them in the $500-$600 range. Probably a bunch lower than that if you can wait until very close to show time.

So as to ticketmaster fees--I bought a pair for Miami and a pair for the Rose Bowl yesterday. Miami were $394.50 each face and Rose Bow were $397.81 each face. Miami also charged a $45.00/each facility fee and a $91.36/each service fee. So that added $136/ticket. Rose Bowl was $1.69/each facility fee (yes that's right $1.69) and $50.00/each service fee. So for Rose Bowl it was an extra $51.6

I understand that you can walk from the stadium to old town Pasadena but hopefully someone from that area will confirm this for us. That is what I am planning to do if in fact it is doable. I am willing to pay to stay in old town if it makes getting to and from the stadium walkable. To me, that adds tremendous joy to my concert experience to not have to deal with traffic, parking, etc.
