Yes I should have. But I saw Jeff Beck in May and with the stones in July I was financially pushing it. Ended up finishing the year with McCartney in October.

I'm considering getting a ticket to see The Who in Detroit near the end of February. I'm 23 years old, seen the stones in 05 and in 15, wowed by them both times. I'm a huge fan of The Who and never seen them. However, I have my reservations. I've heard that unlike the Stones, the Who have lost it, and are no longer worth seeing. I was hugely dissatisfied with their superbowl p

Just because someone dies, doesn't justify adding covers to the set list. No Beatles covers in 81, or Hendrix covers in 71.

I would prefer they release everything sooner rather than later. I'm 23, and huge stones fan, but honestly the core audience base is significantly older than me (no offense anybody!). Waiting to release precious material would be unwise. Lets just hope the stones have a while to go still. The day they stop will be a sad day indeed. I'd love to see a 90 gear old Jagger still out there ki

It's my opinion that the recent Zip Code tour, is the best tour the Stones have done since the Some Girls tour. The band was tight, energetic, stripped down and sounded better than they have in years. The only tour I might put above it is the licks tour cause of all the great gems they played. Thoughts on my analysis?

I'm curious if anybody has any info or sources of rumours regarding the future "from the vault" series releases. I'm a pretty big fan of this series, and while I expect they will release Toronto 05, and Brussels 73 eventually, I've heard rumours also for Paridiso 95. Could anybody give me a source for this? There's a lot of shows I would love to see released, MSG 72,

I feel like Stones fans spend way too much time complaining about the band they supposedly love. The Stones are by far the most reliable, consistently and enduringly great rock band of all time. We fans are very luck for them. Is every point of the stones career as great as say Exile? Of course not. But since the release of Some Girls in 78 (the end of what many consider the classic era), the sto

QuoteMisterO Jig Saw Puzzle......I'm sure Ronnie could handle the slide guitar. I just don't know how if it would translate to well live. To my knowledge they never played it live? What a crime. Such a fantastic tune. Would be nice to see them do a full performance of "Beggars Banquet" like they did with Sticky this past year.

I hope this is true. Seems like Jagger has been down in Nashville alot lately. White did wonders for reviving Loretta Lynn's career, and he'd be great for the stones I think.

The 80s were a hard time for 60s acts going through the mid life crisis of no longer being young hip and cool but not yet secure in legend status.

80s was the worst decade in popular music history. I think the stones in hindsight did pretty well.

Totally serious. 60s and 70s stones were awesome, 80s stones dont compare. This is a list of what I consider the highlights and obviously that is subjective. My point is that despite the downward step in this decade, these songs are still better than most other 80s acts.

I think alot of people would agree that the sixties and seventies were the stones classic era. Everything after thus pales in comparison.I think this is unfair, as I think the stones are still killing it to this day. But just for example I made a best of list for a friend, of the 1980s stones songs to check out: 1. Dance 2. Shes so cold 3. Emotional rescue 4. All about you 5. Start me u

Im 22 years old. My parents took me to see the stones on the bigger bang tour in detroit 05. Loved it, and since ive bought up every album and video theyve released. Me and the family went again this year to the Zip code show in detroit. This concert was even better than 05! So yes, some of my families best memories involve the rolling stones.

QuoteTumblinDice76 Interesting Question: Are we all spoiled by Periscope, the internet, and sites that show setlists? I'm only 39 so I didn't get to see the Stones until the 90's. So my question is for fans taht saw them in the 60's, 70's and the '81-'82 tours. Were you dissapointed by the setlists? I mean besides Hyde Park and Altamont they rolled out the

I also think the idea of a more semi-warhorse oriented set would work better than a total rarities set. Heres my eighteen song proposal: 1. She's so cold 2. Under my thumb 3. Bitch 4. Angie 5&6. If you can't rock me/Get off of my cloud 7. You got me rocking 8. No expectations 9. You got the silver 10. Little T&A 11. Out of control 12. All down the line 13. Beast of b

Alot of people are more interested/captivated by mythology than reality. Its the same reason people think the beatles are vastly better than the stones ( the beatles are great by the way, id say equals). The beatles broke up while still popular with the young generation. They were all young still. Therefore they are better than the stones who didnt know when to quit. The old " better to burn

QuoteThe Worst. So far, they've played 46 different songs on the Zip Code Tour (not counting Hang on Sloopy, and including the intimate gigs at Fonda and Belly Up). Not too bad for a small tour IMO: (I counted When The Whip twice, making the total 46, not 47) 1. Start Me Up 2. When The Whip Comes Down 3. All Down The Line 4. Sway 5. Dead Flowers 6. Wild Horses 7. Sister Morphine

Quoterob51 Actually the Stones have stolen ton's of stuff over the years. The line " she covered me in roses" is from an old english poem and alot of their riffs and melodies are awfully close to other peoples. That's just music though and like Chuck Berry said there is nothing new under the sun. I hear this old argument all the time. Of course you cant help but borrow and

My personal opinion is that in the 60s the Beatles were killing the stones, and likewise Zeppelin in the seventies. But overall, what makes the stones greater is their ability to outlast every band, fad, trend thats come over the years, thus creating a much broader catalouge. In 1967, The Beatles did Sgt. Pepper and it was lightyears better than Satanic majesties. But did the Beatles ever do anyt
