J22surf Did you get confirmation of your tickets, or are you on a waiting list? I thought that the the full season ticket holders have first crack at these tickets, and everyone else is on a waiting list.

Since it is at Petco Park tickets will probably be through Ticketmaster or through the Petco website, it is not an AEG/AXS venue. It is interesting that there is nothing on the Ticketmaster website yet for San Diego, so makes me wonder if Petco might be handling it. There is talk about a stage "thrust" that comes out into audience.

A San Diego ABC television station jumped the gun by mentioning a giveaway for two Stones tickets, then apologized and said it will be given the week of April 6. So some of the media know about it already, he said to mark it on your calendar.

Just spoke with AXS, and they won't be handling tickets for Petco Park. Also spoke with a Petco Park person, possibly the Padres will handle the sales, with a possible pre-sale for season ticket holders. If not then Ticketmaster will handle the tickets for that venue. Get your ducks lined up!

The San Diego Billboard was put up today. Right off Interstate 5 North, near J Street exit, just south of downtown. Billboard is actually located in the back of a property right off 19th Street, right next to the east side of the freeway. I am having a hard time uploading the photo my friend took.

Yes The Sofia Hotel is a nice place in a historic building in the middle of downtown. You can walk to the concert from there. It looks like Orbitz is having a special there right now, as well as groupon. Would be a fun place to stay. Moderately priced.

In San Diego, the Hard Rock Hotel, which is right next to Petco Park, is wooing the Stones to stay there. So that would be the place to try to get a room if you are coming here. San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter is a happening place to be if you are coming here. It would be fun for the iorr people to gather before or at the concert.

My husband is a season ticket holder for the Padres, so am hoping there will be a presale for season ticket holders. Want front section seats. The photos of the Paul McCartney concert made it pretty clear I don't want to be in the stands, plus the sound bounces around there. Front page of the San Diego U-T says "Stones Rolling into San Diego". "Likely date is May 24, according to sources. … being produced by AEG Live." So date is still not officially confirmed. "No other cities have been confirmed for the tour." Great news for me, but last time they were at Petco, the concert sold out in minutes. Hopefully the Stones will handle tickets
