QuoteKindaBlue I think listening to music is a lot like any other kind of art appreciation. Think of when you look at a painting. You first look at it from a few feet away, and get the overall feel for what the artist is trying to express. If it appeals to you at first, then you step in, and study it a little closer. You start to notice the details, and the nuances that went into it.

How you're doing when you hear a song for the first time? When I do normally I find it boring, but when I hear it a few times and my head knows better how the melody goes, I start to like it more. For example I don't really liked the ABB Album when it came out, but now after hearing it many times I really love it. But there are also Songs I have to hear one time only and I fall in l

Let's be a bit more realistic. First I think that it was a joke of bv and that he meant that they play in Bill's sticky fingers. But maybe I am wrong >< Then I think, when they would do a Sticky Fingers DELUXE tour, they wouldn't play so much sticky finger classics. They would do some of the new songs and the second part would be the usual hit-setlist.

Quotevudicus I think a Bigger Bang had many great songs on it, and a couple that were not so good. The real problem with the album is the terrible brick walled mastering. Everything is distorted and fighting for attention. That kind of mastering should be illegal and punishable by Spanish Inquisition style comfy pillow torture. The vinyl sucked too. Same compressed audio on wafer thin

Thank you all for your suggestions! Seems as if I have to get Four Flicks on Ebay. (Thank you GJV for that tip, didn't thought about that) Then I got even 3 Concerts to watch , the most interesting is for me that Club/Theatre Gig. Father Ted: Four Flicks is mediocre at best. Only buy it if you can get it cheap. It's definitely not worth €65. Why it's just mediocre for you?

Quotewith sssoul There are some really fine shows that haven't yet been released officially, but I gather you're looking only for official stuff? Four Flicks is good, and frequently on sale. Go for it! No, it don't has to be official stuff, but the quality should be enjoyable. I will keep my eyes open if four flicks is on sale somewhere. The playing seems very good. What a

Hey Stones-fans! I want to buy some new video-stuff of the stones. Hope you can recommend something to me. No concerts at the moment, so I'm looking for something to watch at evening. It doesn't matter if DVD or download. I'm looking for something from the 'modern stones-era' (90s till now). I already own the Hyde Park DVD which I really love - they play tight and

Am I the only one who likes the 2012-14 version best? For example the Hyde Park Version is very great But on the 14 on Fire Tour it was even better, they played it a little bit slower and with more energy IMHO. On the ABB and Licks Tour it wasn't that great, now it's much tighter. The Flashpoint version would be my second choice, though I really don't like Charlies pla

Don't missunderstand - I think we all Love Keef and his playing. This thread is NOT against Keef, and if you not agree with posting some classical keef-@#$%&-ups, you can simply ignore this tread. I often find such moments very funny, especially the reaction of the other stones.

Angie - because it shows how sensitive Mick is able to sing Sympathy - Great how he builds up that song. In the beginning he sings very soft but in the last minutes he just screams it out Far away eyes - just love Mick's way of singing on the whole Some Girls album. Laugh, I nearly died - Love the track and Mick's emotional vocal-performance - beautiful vibrato.

and he always was. I actually thought that true fans would take that much easier, it's just Keef and nothing to worry about. Just though I could be funny to collect some 'special' Keef- moments of the last tour. What's for example very funny it the reaction of Mick in the Brown Sugar-video of Zürich.

Even if Keith plays very good and focused since 2012, sometimes he has his classical moments when he fails. I start with a few videos, please post some more Keith-fails. Quotematxil Lock Mick and Keith up in the kitchen and don't let them out until they have got at least 5 songs they are both happy about. If they come out alive and well, lock the entire band up in a faraway place in the south of France or an island in the Pacific, for at least 6 months and force them to play those 5 songs plus anything else that comes up for hours on end, day after day.
