Quotevancouver thank you again !!!!!!!!!! anyway any plans for more stereo merge stones concerts ? Well - I don't know at the moment - I really set out to just do all 66/67 because I love this period and think it is somewhat poorly represented in terms of broader Stones history... Even by the Stones themselves - I mean we are now lead to believe that Brian was already in a state of de

Hi Vancouver I am happy to tell you how I did it - I time stretched the two sources by trial and error in Adobe Audition multitrack. I usually timestretch to right speed one track first for reference, then try and lock the other one in - sometimes by slicing/selecting a bit of one track at a time...lock it in...next bit... I have tried various methods over the years, but this is the way I hav

QuoteQuique-stone Thanks for sharing your work here funkydrummer! Looking forward to listening it! I tried to download it twice and both times the download finished at 18,9 MB. Is anybody that did it successfully upload this Vienna's work to another server please. TIA Well in the meantime looks like the problem has been sorted - not sure what happened?

QuoteHAHA - thanks for your upload but even if you could understand the German language you'd have a hard time - you have to be born in Vienna to truly enjoy "I gib da a Watschn du freche Nosn" The complete source was taped by my brother in law and I'm curious what you did with the two sources! Hey Folks I am currently trying to get a hold of Zurich 67 and while I have one source of Vienna, I don't have the second - so both shows would be good to check. I am looking for the raw tapes if possible. Would really appreciate if someone could make availble! Thanks in advance FD

Hey His Majesty! Many thanks for the kind words and I too am a big fan of BTB period Stones... I created an "instrumental" version of BTB using Black Box legit instrumentals and my own extraction mixes of the others... FD QuoteHis Majesty Despite it's obvious wonkyness I've long had a soft spot for this album due to when it's core live recordings and even it

No problem - this wasn't hard work, basically left channel of old stereo rearranged a bit - getting Sydney '66 to sound decent - that is an ongoing issue. Quotevudicus Man I hadn't listened to this thing in ages, mainly because it always sounded horrible. This comes across as a much better representation of the band live in 1966. This will be my go to version from now on.

Thanks for the kind words - and affirmation! This album has been much neglected by myself and I still find its contents mysterious... Quotevudicus Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby - I agree this sounds like a totally different recording/show. The fidelity is way too different. It's impossible to tell if there are any overdubs on this cut, other than the Tambourine again. If

Hey vudicius - yeah same funkydrummer - taking some time off Jimi for awhile... I will listen out for overdubs - you can hear snatches of acoustic instruments - marimbas on UMT - I would tend to agree that acoustic stuff is generally overdubbed?

QuoteThe album gets slagged by some because it is a Rolling Stones album and that comes with expectations. What you state as a fact regarding listening test is not a fact at all. Also, the album has undergone quite a re-evaluation in music mags etc in recent years, the "bad experiement" tag is for people with crap ears. It is far more liked than you seem to realise. No I am aware

QuoteHis Majesty Most of those instrumentals are probably songs waiting for lyrics, but given that the Satanic Sessions is mostly just the ongoing recordings of basic tracks there are no overdubs, vocal melodies or lyrics. No I definitely dispute this, because most of them clock in around 1min mark - and are have defined instrumental melodies which are foregrounded. The fact that 5 Part Jam is

There is a reason why this album has been so lamented over the years, and one of the reasons is because many listeners find it difficult to listen to all the way through as-is. I am one of the them. In some respects my little compilation project was based on the fact that if I was to play the LP for a younger person as-is - they would not think "LSD classic" but respond like countle

Doxa I couldn't have put it better myself...and your comments align exactly with my approach! Thanks! QuoteDoxa There are some critical voices in regards to the project. Especially Wittness seems to be a tough one... I also think that the original release is the one and only artistic statement there is, and that should not be touched. But that said, I don't think any harm is

Quotescottkeef 8.We Love You - vocal isolation with Lennon/McCartney vocals. 7 and 8 of the bonus tracks are really a hoot! as I said, not for everybody but I listen to it quite a bit. The only other LP Mickboy took this many liberties on the tracking is "Black & Blue" (another one I listen to a lot) and the result is quite enjoyable. I didn't realise that I had been beate
