Yes there was a show on the 10th documented on the bootleg "1975 Nervous Breakdown" (recently posted on this forum).

In the US "Emotional Rescue" was reviewed as a disappointment after "Some Girls" (which ironically was also panned in Rolling Stone when it was released). I agree with Gazza - it was a pointless review in the current RS magazine because the writer didn't address the merit of the remastered sound - most of us already have all of these albums (any serious rock fan - not

The June 22 1975 concert is widely circulated on audio - you should have no problem getting an audience sourced recording for this with Clapton playing on SFTD. I believe an audio audience recording exists of the May 15, 1976 show. Audio is available for July 12, 1975 but is incomplete and I have never heard of Clapton playing with them in L.A. on the 1975 tour.

Here are some of Keith's quotes from a 1980 interview with the Boston Globe concerning Spanish Tony and his book: "I gave up reading fairy tales a long time ago," he says. "Tony Sanchez was a friend of mine and he's now somebody who'd better stay a very long way away from me." Richards, the lead guitarist of the Rolling Stones, is responding to a

It comes back to the fact that the song was remastered by CBS and Virgin in its original uncensored form - the way the rest of the world (except the US) heard it in its original vinyl release. Clearly, the Stones preferred the uncensored version. As for the censored title "Star Star", Mick Taylor commented in 1973 that the important thing was that the song was included on the album.

Chet Flippo was kicked off of the tour because he was the Rolling Stone reporter covering the tour. He did not write the scathing reviews of the JFK show or the album. As someone pointed out Dave Marsh wrote one of the reviews. As I recall in the book, Jagger apologizes to Flippo saying, "I wish it wasn't you (being thrown off the tour)." Jagger was pissed at the magazine and Jann

It still makes no sense to release a censored version of a song that was previously remastered uncensored on the CBS and Virgin reissues. Universal will not sell more copies by restoring the original US vinyl edit of "Star Star" - in fact they will sell less.

I agree that the audio isn't always from the same show used in the film ("Happy" vocals for example), but I too believe they are from the shows taped.

It's a joke that Universal has the edited version of "Star Star" on the remaster. I won't buy it.

I haven't heard many good things about the Universal remasters. It appears they have boosted the volume and used the original US vinyl mix on "Star Star" which attempts to disguise the "pussy clean" line. Do any of you think any of the new remasters are upgrades over the Virgin remasters? I'm not being sarcastic - I'd like to know what CDs sound better than pre

I think Keith is definitely affected by his somewhat mangled fingers. I've been playing guitar over 30 years and I have noticed a definite regression in his playing over the last 10 years. Which is sad, because the guy is one of my all time favorite guitarists. The feel and sound on those classic albums can't be beat and a lot of that stemmed from Keith.

The last two minutes is basically footage of them leaving the show backstage with the lyrics of the first verse of "Brown Sugar" being read as a soundover. I don't think it's essential but if you want the complete film, this copy, while a very good print, is missing that.

It's the best copy I've seen out there. It does however, end abruptly with the Stones leaving the stage after Street Fighting Man. It is missing the last minute or two of the movie. Other than that caveat, it is a pretty good print.

Jagger has never shown any sustained interest in releasing outtakes or live gems from the past. Brussels is an amazing show but it would present a perhaps "unfavorable" comparison to how they sound now live. I don't think this or Ladies and Gents will be released - unfortunately. I think we should appreciate the people on this forum - like UrbanSteel- who generously post a lot of t
