I remember when the SF reissue was announced and Amazon UK had placeholders for all the different variations on for £10.99. I ordered the super-deluxe box not really expecting to get it for that price, but soon got an email stating that they would honour the price! Proper bargain!

Quotematxil It's true that the way we listen to the Stones is related to how we got to listen to them in their first place. I was a teenager in the 80s. I sort of liked punk and new-wave music but then I got tired of it. I liked the English wave of ska music but then I discovered that the original Jamaican ska music from the 60s was much more "groovy". Similarly, in the 80s I d

Does anyone else have any of those CD releases of No Stone Unturned, Rock N'Rolling Stones etc? I think they were Russian. I bought a load of them when I started collecting the Stones on Cd - I still have them. They all have bonus tracks on them. I assumed for years they were official releases from Russia, but since have learned that they are probably just bootlegs. Either way, I like them

Quotebitusa2012 Quoterogerriffin Quotekkhoranstoned is andrew in the studio with the stones?? that a question.. not only with the Stones, playing their instruments too... Is this, like, NOW, or a pic from the studio sessions that gave us Hackney Diamonds. I’d like it to be now, but… ???? That's an old pic, unfortunately.

Most of mine are in storage boxes - except for The Stones - they are on display. I have Solo stuff, in alphabetical order of artist with each album/single in date order, then miscellaneous stuff (interview discs, promo things), bootlegs, singles, albums. All in chronological order as best as I can - sometimes I have to move them around so that they fit on the shelves.

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteBarkerboy2So what you meant by 'real', was 'good' (in your opinion)? Not trying to be picky or pedantic - I was just trying to work out what you meant by a 'real' album cover. A picture. The human aspect of design. SW - HD are purely digital. ABB, although a picture of the band, is a throwback to say... the inner pic of BEGGARS. But it

QuoteBig Al QuoteBarkerboy2 Andrew Watt. That's not really the scenario the thread-starter had in mind, I'm sure. He's a producer, who just so happens to be a fan. And is he a 'friend'? It's a professional relationship, first and foremost, I would imagine. Thank you. In that case the answer is no.

QuoteSwayed1967 QuoteBarkerboy2 It's a great song! ‘They’re naked and they dance…’ I’ve always enjoyed this little ditty. It’s an ultra-cool song but unfortunately not that substantial. In that sense, I find it similar to songs like ‘Shake Your Hips’, ‘Sweet Black Angel,’ ‘Turd On The Run,’ and ‘I Just Want To See His Face.’ Do you see where I’m going with this? If Exile were just a si

It just bugs me when people present something as fact when it is an opinion - just makes people sound a bit stupid It's probably a me thing though - I should lighten up.

Quotematxil QuoteDoxa The influence can derive from anywhere. You know, when I started to dig The Stones back in 1981/82 I get to know that their worst album and a total disaster is THEIR SATANIC MJESTIES. This was the impression I had based on, say, music papers, books, elder fans, etc. It was like a 'common truth'. Nowadays that's not the case. It is more like 'the album i

Influence from where? Which online forum existed in 1985 where this was discussed? I'm talking about now. As I said in my original post, I am sure some people genuinely don't like it.
