QuoteCocaine Eyes QuoteLittleRockFitToTop A second Chicago date has been added as well - May 31. I was actually following the rules and I added the Chicago new date to the 'official Chicage thread'. Looks like BV took care of this already:

It's been really amazing to see the Stones pay tribute to Otis at both of their most recent concerts in Memphis - In 1999 they performed "I Got the Blues" which is essentially an Otis Redding tribute and in 2005 they did their cover of "Mr. Pitiful."

Quotehowled QuoteLittleRockFitToTop New video for second single "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)" Now I'm really excited. Much better than the first single IMO. After the first single I was just happy to see him back. Now I'm really looking forward to the new album. Since he isn't doing any press all of his band members and Tony Visconti said "Where Are We Now

Quotejammingedward April 8 1999 The Pyramid. My first ever (and favourite) Stones show the day after my 23rd birthday. The crowd were loose and loving it and the band were firing on all cylinders. I remember the huge reaction to "I met a gin soaked bar room queen..." line and like Kovac said it felt like the entire arena walked down to Beale st with lots of "whoo whoo's&quo

Quotemgguy My guess is tha a "show" would be entirely all new material? Can't see him revisiting the old stuff for a one-off performance, but....he is Bowie. He performed Low and his then-new album Heathen in their entireties at a concert in 2002 at the Roseland Ballroom. That's the kind of show I could picture him doing. Given the cover of the album I could see him doing t

Quotets How he did this without any hype is pretty much classic Bowie. I agree 100%. The master of reinvention and enigma.

QuoteEdith Grove QuotetomcasagrandaI don't think he needs to tour, as he has done so well without touring. Did you see him in 2003 ? I wouldn't mind seeing that again ! Those 2002/2003 shows were amazing. I saw him 4 times on the Heathen/Reality tour and he was amazing at every show. When he had heart problems and had to cancel the end of his tour I thought it was so unfortuna

Like others have said, what I'm most impressed about is the secrecy of the whole thing. I don't think anybody saw this coming. I had pretty much decided he had retired for good. When I read the headlines this morning I had to do a doulbe take to make sure I wasn't dreaming. In an era of surprising music veteran comebacks, I guess anything is possible. I can't believe

It's the coolest music festival I have ever been too. Considering how "hip" it's considered I wouldn't be surprised if Mick would be inclined to perform there. I think that's why Macca performed there a few years ago. (And has since returned almost every year in the audience and even did a guest DJ spot recently) The audience is always packed with celebrities.

I remember a different festival doing something very similar a few years ago and totally fooling everybody. Can't remember exactly what the picture or phrase they used was but it totally threw everyone off - it was just a big joke or something. Mick has said for years he wouldn't mind just doing a few festivals and that being it for a tour. I think he even said that before the Bigger
