December 74; Taylor decides to quit the Stones after talking to Andy Johns. He tells Jagger this at a party. May 75; Ron Wood, looking and playing like a twin brother to Keith, plays his first gig with the Stones on a truck at 5 th Ave.

I really hop not, the intro was way to long. On the other hand it would be fun going on tour with stones as a drummer, and very good pay.

They took it. For nearly a year. Keith took it last in the 73 tour in Hawaii. "Best stage light ever" he said. Jagger took it everyday for a long period in 67.

QuoteBlackHat Irrespective of the story content and its source there's still no need to feel sorry for Marianne Faithfull. Her life, her choice, her responsibility. I don't agree. Sometimes people come in situations they have no power over. Sometimes other people are bad to you.

I think they should play some songs live from this era. Not everything is bad.

I listened to the live dvd "Some girls, live in Texas" from 78 the other day. Bill plays great bass the whole show and he is not mixed down. You hear him loud and well. Great playing.

I don't know. I have always wanted Taylor back in the Stones but after seeing him perform with Stones in London and New Jersey I'm not sure. He ain't the same anymore. Maybe if he rehearsed with them it would work out. He's a lot younger than Keith but don't seem to be in good health.

I think it can be as simple as he don't drink or smoke as much. That makes wonders. If he also is practising their you have the answer. I believe hes smoking weed but that is good for his arthritis.

Is there only me that thinks Ron plays killer bass and so do Keith and Mick Taylor. Everytime I hear a great line i pick the album and see there name. What do you think about Bill? Has he any fans? You can't hear him, especially playing live. And he seems to be a mean dirty old man that made the same mistake as Taylor and left before the big money come rolling in.

QuoteNaturalust Quotetalkcheap QuoteGravityBoy Quotetalkcheap Hate, hate, hate that drum sound. Frack the 80s. I do to. It was Steve Lillywhites signature sound and for those delay effect on the drums he got millions. I can't understand why the Stones hired him. He has nothing to do with Rock and Roll. Luckily he improved his production and made several great records in the 90'

If Mick Taylor had not left the Stones he and Keith would have died in drunk driving accident in Keiths blue Bentley after doin speedballs all night. When Ron would have joined the Stones as alone sologuitarist and full writing partner to jagger, reading; Wood/Jagger.

QuoteStonesTod QuoteTravellinMan If Mick Taylor had not left the Stones then Keith would have died in 79. Ron would have been selected to replace Keith. so it would be woody just being happy to be anywhere now? and taylor would be the guy dating and marrying anyone who winked at him? Very funny!

QuoteDoomandGloom Yup, guys like Keith and Woody are supermen when it comes to partying, the weaker will die trying to keep up. If Taylor says he was in a bad way when he quit, I believe it, now we get to see him alive and playing well. Now if Keith retired or could no longer play could there be a Rolling Stones with Woody and Taylor? No Keith, Jagger or Charlie no Stones. And Taylor seems
