From slash’s autobiography: “ The Stones were in town during this period; they were staying at the Sunset Marquis recording at Don Was's house, working on Bridges to Babylon. I went over and checked out a few sessions, and watching them work, watching them do their thing, made me feel even worse about my situation. They had a chemistry that encompassed all of their very distinct persona

41, first saw the stones in 99. Been a fan since 11-12. Paint it black (first song I heard) certainly made an impression on me at that age. Kinda summed up my world in 1990-1991

QuoteLeonidP It was pretty good! He's a fascinating person, always has been. It's sad he doesn't really write songs anymore, he's a fantastic song writer! And I know many would not agree, but to me at least, he's a fantastic singer! His voice carried and put across emotion. The most important part of singing your own songs!

The Doors. Consistent over their 6 albums Individually gifted, The Organ, the guitar, the drumming and the voice/words of Morrison. Brilliant live act when they were on it. Captured the expanse of America in their music. Very atmospheric. The quintessential American band for me....

God took his hand back No one could ever knock the second goal he scored that day. One of the absolute bests, he basically won that World Cup in 86 on his own.

Quotemidimannz Hello friends, an offer has been made to me for my complete Vinyl record collection, included are many Rolling Stones albums and about 150 boots I’ve used Discogs to establish some degree of pricing on the standard releases, by country, but they don’t price guide boots. Does anyone have a similar source to assist please? It all depends on what’s IN your collection. Try and fig

Gotta be Exile for me. Best range of material, band at their peak, Jaggers vocal on let it loose is the best he’s done in my opinion. The energy the mood the flow of this record is brilliant. Because it’s a double album and the amount of material on it, it’s still fresher to me than some albums ive listened to for as long.. 25+ years later it’s still exciting to listen to.

QuoteBjorn My vote goes to Realize and Through the mist of time. The last six songs are impossible to remember, for me. But thumbs up for the first six. :-) Yep, I’d go with the first 9 tunes. Through the mist of time is a great track.

QuoteDGA35 Reading a great interview with the band in NME online. Nice Stones related quote by Angus when he talks of visiting Malcolm when he was in a care home in his final days. "I'd play him a bit of guitar, and he was happy whenever we were doing that. One of the last records I ever played him was The Rolling Stones when they were doing a lot of old blues tracks (2016's Blu

Quotespikenyc Im still holding LD's for Charlotte, Tampa and Atlanta. Just checked TM and says "event is postponed, tickets are still valid". Also is giving the option of a refund. Until an official announcement is made, Im going to hold on to these. Same for Vancouver LDs. “Event is postponed, tickets are still valid” There’s also the option for a refund.

QuoteChester On January 31, 1959, my parents went on a date to a show at the Duluth (Mn.) Armory, where they saw Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. Three days later, of course, they died in a plane crash (the performers, not my parents). Also in attendance at that show was Bob Zimmerman from Hibbing Mn., so inspired, legend has it, that he picked up a guitar and changed his name to

QuoteMileHigh And to think that when you were a kid and you went to see a movie with your parents - you thought that it might come on TV a few years later, once during the season and possibly once during the summer reruns. And then you thought that you would never see it again. Same thing for stuff on TV. It’s mental.... I used to be so happy to get an audio bootleg from a gig I’d been to. A
