Quotedcba QuoteSpud 4 months old ? That one's got an awful lot of growing up to do . Enjoy . And you can speed-up the process by resting your guitar near the speaker of your stereo. Each time you'll listen to music on your stereo the guitar will age/ripe like a good wine... It has grown a lot those four months and feels better every time I play it. I wanted the newer model ne

Last week I started to plan a New York trip, I have enough airline mileage for a free flight from Norway. I did not buy tickets last year because I have been sick for a while but now I felt ready. I feel confident that Mick will beat whatever it is and be back as the statement says, and wish him best of luck. When his back in business I will be there too.

QuoteSipuncula Quotefloodonthepage How sped up is it? I've read about this issue for years, but never really saw anything that explained how bad the problem is. I have the generically titled "Greatest Hits Live" DVD version, and prior to that I have seen the VHS edition. Neither of them stood out as being strange, but maybe it's like anything that's slightly off....you ge

QuoteHappy24 Quotelatebloomer Bob Dylan 2018 Is One of the Greatest Shows in History of Rock Master paints new masterpiece every night by revisiting past in new ways. I like Dylan, but statements like that are total bull..t (in my opinion). I have seen him 5 times since 2005 and I haven't realized any ""new ways." Yes, the old songs sound very different, most people in

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteGeorgV I bought the 2cd version of Sticky Fingers a few years back just to have the 2nd CD. Looking forward to hear it I cranked it up only to quicky turn it down. After a few minutes I had to turn it more down and after 4 songs I started to get a headache and couldn't listen to it anymore. The 2LP version sounds different and is the one to get. Forget about

QuoteTheBlockbuster Back then he did hit the drums harder, he did more fills and was overall much tighter, his playing also wasn't stiff like it's sometimes today. Keith is also very impressing here, he was still well in control over the notes he was playing and the telecaster really sounds nice for soloing. True, but almost 20 years later they still sound damned good. To me,

I just listened to the first 2 LPs. It is a great album, but except for the more interesting set list they don't sound that much different today. Wish they would dare to play more of these songs again. Darryl plays more Stones like bass now so that is better, guitars are loader now. Keith's Honky Tonk solo are note by note very similar to this tour. Comparing this to todays tour just

QuoteThe Sicilian Thankfully, when you see a Paul McCartney concert, the songs sound much like the original versions. Paul can pick and choose who he want for his backing band. Younger musicans who can copy an play anything and make it (almost) sound like the Beatles or Wings. Stones are a band and stuck with the band members of 70+. I prefer this veraion of Rolling Stones to Mick performing

The pic of Keith shrouded in light has a spiritual/religious vibe to it...the second coming of....with all the worshippers praising the immortal and divine being... Thanks, glad you liked them. Quotesyrel QuoteGeorgV Well, reading the setlist and listening to YT videos is one thing, being there is completely different. Yes, it is the same songs, and yes it is "just" 2 hours an 19 songs (Dylan is 15/16 songs or so and 2 hours WITH a break). slight digression, but Dylan is currently 20 songs with no break. syrel Sorry, my mistake. Yes, he played (great performance) 21 s

Quotemickschix I thought I'd be feeling bad about not flying to Ireland for this show but based on the set list and the comments here PLUS the shortened show, I feel pretty relieved that I didn't go through all the stress to attend. I just don't get WHY they rehearse all of these songs, some considered " deep cuts" only to play the same ole songs with 2 blues tunes thrown

It is a nice collection, but expensive. No extras, like a book or extra LP with rare tracks? If you don't have these it is a great way to get all of them, but soundwise I'll think good used originals will be better (and cheaper). I have the Exile Abbey Road remastered issue, marketed as the best. It s not bad, but the original Sterling pressing is better. And better cover print. Abo
