Quotegotdablouse QuoteMadMetaphoricalMaxAt the end of the video interview with MIck on Sweet Sounds, a couple of pages back, there is snatch of music with some bass going on - is that the Macca track? At what point exactly in the video ? Right at the very very end, like 12.58 - I may have got it totally wrong and it's just this guy's theme tune, but the interview did mention talking a

I finally got to play it on my new headphones back at home, which sound like you've put a couple of rooms around your ears. Fantastic, so much fine detail in the song, so much to swim in.The guitars are marvellous, Ronnie's licks, Keith's cuts, and Stevie - fantastic. Keith on bass gets to the root of it all and holds up the trunk, and Mick and Gaga - they just flow. ANd the horns

QuoteDeeGee Quoteslewan I can't help it – everything I heard from the new album so far (3 songs and 16 seconds) gives me the feeling that I don't/won't like the album I feel sorry for you. For me it's quite the opposite. I dig most of it, only Angry sounds a bit too "trashy" for my taste - soundwise. But that's only my personal taste. This is an amazing a

There was a great interview with Jagger in the NME around the release of Emotional Rescue where he really lays in to the NME for posing as Punk and rebellious while also being IPC Media corporate hags. By that time they slagged off the Stones relentlessly, so bully for him.

QuoteRocky Dijon I very much doubt the truth of that statement. Why would the director plan to have a name actress just sit there? This is P.R. deflecting sensitivity issues by empowering the actress. It's like the outrage that greeted the video for "Criss Cross" in some quarters until it was determined it wasn't a case of "male gaze" on the director's part and

Just realising how much I love this song and their performance, especially after the hand claps begin, and the whole thing goes really mental. I need physical media because the internet isn't loud enough. Video's grown on me too, the billboards are incredible,m and Syd Sweeney, to me, is more funny than 'sexy-sleazy' - hell, you'd see more skin at drag queen storyime ho

Love it, and very clever, and still totally Stonesy, like this whole media campaign, and the press conference at the Empire yesterday. And the single really is as good as Start Me Up for impact and sheer chutzpah. Mick is great, the voice is back to its slouchy best, none of that over enunciating. It's all about the vowels, not the consonants....

An ease, a humour, and a cool that has to be lived with long, and can't be faked. Off the Hook was a great moment and Fallon was a good compere. Quotestanlove People who really like this song were going to like anything the Stones released just because it’s the Stones, 5 years from now everyone will admit that they have not bothered to play this song in about 5 years. Still can’t get the point of pushing this media blitz and then not releasing album for 6 weeks. Speak for yourself love, and not for anyone else. And I don't think

Two from 2019. The rest from Xmas 2022 to early this year. Fast work. An account of the press conference up now at the Guardian website, I can't be arsed to link, even though it comes with some hilariously po-faced and very disapproving comments from below the line. You can't beat the readership of that paper for dour, judgemental miserablism....

The song's great, it was really good to hear it at the Empire, with plenty of bass too. It'll be their biggest since Start Me Up,. Same kind of simple, straight up, catchy and stupid-great. I can almost hear drunken lads doing their best Mick on Stella St impression belting out the chorus if it comes on late enough at a pub.... The boys looked fantastic, cool, funny, good vibe between

The. counterpoint riff that comes in almost at the end of Always Suffering, during the second solo, is amazing. It lasts all of three seconds, at the end of a song few ever highlight, and that has never been done live, but it's a peach. A hidden gem.

There is a good broad range of opinions and viewpoints on this board, but there are some posts I can't help but feel go beyond the bounds, and if that is coupled with direct and personal insults, it's hard not to react negatively. But yes, anger has no place here, while the new music does, and I like it, and I can't wait to hear the full song, the finished album, and see how and wh
