don't know if you're a foodie or not, but iron chef michael simon has a couple of really good restaurants in cleveland. our favorite is lolita, a more casual restaurant that's open kind of late. best deep-fried chicken livers i've ever had! also a sizeable list of good wines by the glass. we live in chicago, and we're planning to revisit the r&r hall not only to ch

no offense, but if you're over 12 years old, ed debevic's is a juvenile waste of time. the best burger in chicago, hands down, can be had at kuma's corner. always a wait for a table, and blaring metal music and heavily-inked waitstaff, but the burgers and house-made chips are amazing. very interesting beer list, too.

i was at the show in newark and didn't get a chance to see the ppv until yesterday; i've watched it three times since. i've got to say the sound at the live show was far superior to the sound on the ppv. i did notice that maybe the energy level was a little low at the beginning, and i noticed mick kept blowing his nose as if he was a bit sniffly. but it seems to me that the

of course rock stars are entitled to their opinions about politics, and if bruce wanted to campaign for obama, that was his choice. but i do think they should limit their political views to venues apart from their concerts/recordings. when i pay big bucks to see a show, it ruins it for me if i must endure a sermon on any subject, especially if it's contrary to my view. i'm there for

i personally love "that's how strong my love is". my husband had our favorite stones' tribute band learn that song to play at our 25th wedding anniversary party. it was beautiful!

the best music shop in chicago is "rolling stones records", on the northwest side at roughly harlem avenue and forest preserve drive. it's very interesting, lots of cds and dvds in all genres. "vintage vinyl" is a cool store in evanston, a suburb north of chicago, about 40 minutes from downtown. lots of vinyl and cds and dvds, but they're kind of expensive. i

i would suggest that "down home girl" (one of my faves) and "down the road apiece" on the "now" album were the first country songs recorded by the stones.

i've been to several mick taylor shows in chicago, and he was very gracious in giving autographs after the show. i guess it might depend on the venue, but one place actually had a small room behind the stage where fans were invited in, a few at a time, to meet mick and spend a few minutes with him.

first song was "she said yeah", at the arie crown theater in chicago (3,000 capacity; the hall wasn't full!) on november 28, 1965. this was the second rock concert i'd ever seen in my life; i was 15 years old. it changed my life! up until then, i was a beatlemaniac (they were my first rock concert). but when i saw mick do "that's how strong my love is", i f

although they didn't write it, i've always loved "that's how strong my love is" as done by the stones. my husband hired a stones' tribute band for our 25th anniversary party, and they learned that song especially for us!
