Liked it when it came out, thought it was infinitely better than Goat's Head Soup, now feel exactly the opposite. Soup holds up, especially stuff like "Winter" and "Star Star." Is it blasphemous to say I've never liked the song, "It's only Rock n Roll?"

Actually, that cover of Hey Bulldog was done by an all-female group called Fanny, led by young women (not anymore) named June and Jane Millington - and it is very good.

I know this is old territory that's been covered here before, but my memory ain't what it once was. Is there a way to get "Under the Radar" on CD that doesn't include purchasing the ABB special edition (which I already have)?

Thinking about getting Jo Wood's book on her "30 Years with Ronne Wood and the Rolling Stones." Good read? Garbage? What's the verdict?

Saw a "Rolling Stones Beginnings 2: Yesterday's Papers" on a Amazon as a September release. Is this an interview thing or another compilation? Anyone know?

Secret Treaties is an all-timer. BOC a much underrated band with an incredible musical dynamic and lyrics I think only the band understood. I vaguely remember a note on the Secret Treaties album that noted you could send away to the band for the album's lyrics. This, of course, was pre-Internet.

fleabitmonkey - That Spectrum show with TYA, Procol Harum and Leon Russell was my first concert. I was all of 15 and prayed at the altar of Alvin and that iconic red guitar of his with the peace symbol sticker. Have read a lot about him and he had always kept that "peace and love" ethic throughout his life. He was vehemently anti-war, anti-big business and believed people could live i

I remember being 9 or 10 years old and in my uncle's rec room and hearing this great music through the speakers he had in his ceiling. It was the Rolling Stones first album and I've been hooked ever since. I grew up with these guys and they have seldom let me down. In fact, I'm sure only my family has given me more smiles (and taken more of my money - gladly). Rolling Stones, th

Has the official tracklist for the GRRR compilation been released yet, and if not, why not? Christ, the thing's coming out next month and nobody knows what's on the damn thing? At this point I'll just be happy if there are no edited tracks.

Schillid - Gotta agree - Stones at the Spectrum in Philly in July 1972 - the first of three shows. Seats weren't great, but me and a friend snuck down front after Stevie Wonder and were about six rows from the band - close enough to toss my hat on the stage (Only security picked it up). Band was smoking and mindful, of course, that the shows were being taped for the live album that was never

I know the chances of this happening are about as likely as Keith being elected pope, but if another compilation is on tap for the 50th anniversary, how about different versions of the usual "greatest-hits" tunes? Can we hear the reggae version of "Start Me Up" or the folky version of "Sympathy?" The commercial prospects for this are slim and none, so the Stones tak

Love the song "Wandering Spirit" and the album, too. Another vote would go to the song "Primitive Cool," although I know I'm in a very small minority on that one.

One of the last great rock n' rollers around. Just saw him recently and it was the best rock show I'd seen all year. I'd love to be as vital when I'm 72.

I don't remember the tour, but does anyone remember the animated, black-leather- clad girl dancing on the tongue on the video screen while the Stones played Honky Tonk Women? A long time ago someone posted that girl and I used it for my screen saver at work forever. A new system, a new computer and my beautiul girl is gone. Can someone, anyone, re-post? A million thanks in advance.

Whether it's true or not, you know it's going to happen eventually. It's a sign of the society we live in - everything is instant gratification, whether it's instant coverage of a flood in Pango Pango or DVDs of films coming out a month or two after they hit theaters. A piece of music becomes available, and suddenly and it has to be owned immediately. Personally, I always l

Who knows what was left out of the book? Perhaps Keith did speak more about his colleagues in the Stones quite a bit and his editor didn't think any of it was worthy or something that would sell the book. Outside of Mick, Brian and Woody, it seems the other Stones were slighted as far as Keith commenting on the individual relationships, etc. I don't know anything about Bill, Mick Tayl

Sure, I'd like to see a new album/tour or a major raid on the vaults, but what would really be nice is a Stones live album with no overdubbing or studio tricks. There certainly have to be enough shows over the years to choose from. And since the pressure's off so far as sales - realistically, artists like the Stones can't be expected to sell millions of units any more than Glenn Mi

Love her to death. The stretch from "Ladies of the Canyon" through "Blue," "For the Roses" and "Court and Spark" is flawlessly great, but may not even represent her best. Love that she left the business on her own terms and won't come back just for a wad of cash.

I remember, going to the show at Hershey, that a tongue dripping with chocolate would have been a perfect, site-specific shirt. Took some extra money in anticipation, but alas, no shirt. But any concert shirt from any event that is site specific has an excellent chance of separating me from my hard-earned.

The site-specific shirts are always the best. I remember, going to the Hershey show, that a nice huge tongue dripping with chocolate would have made a perfect shirt for the occasion - even took some extra cash in anticipation. But alas, no chocolate shirt. But the Halloween shirts, even the burning tongue from MSG and the shirts from the gigs with AC/DC always seem to be the ones I wind up weari

The new album is fantastic and his live show is the best I've seen in years. I admire an artist who will play his/her new things, even though the crowd may want nothing but their favorites. Simon plays enough of his "hits," yet leans heavily on the new album. It cracks me up when Keith says stuff like an album isn't completed until it's played on the road when the Ston
