Quoteslewan I visted the Hackney bus today in Hannover (details => ) I listened to a little more than half of HD right there. My feeling was that most of the songs are somehow 'overproduced' and that the bass is too dominant in the mix. But maybe that's just an effect of the atmos thing and/or there place were I was standing at inside the bus. slewan like always negstive de

QuoteBastion Quotekeefriffhards QuoteTopi Quotetreaclefingers QuoteBastion I mean, it's objectively bad music. I had to stop halfway through Mess it Up. WTF? Ignore him. All he does is troll this board and watch F1. No i don't think he's a troll, he's probably telling the truth, i commented this morning that i had to stop playing Mess It Up halfway through. I've h

Sitting here after being the first one in my record store this morning 1 second after it opened, has to wait another 20 minutes until the whole Stones package arrived at the shop by courier and then getting the first Black Vinyl 180g out of the cardboard, so sitting here and listened to it now, when sun ist setting down, and being total happy but the moment some tears start to roll down my cheek

It took long for me to understand that he was a big music lover and to respect his distinctive opinions. In fact I strolled his posts away for many years. But then the last 2 years I realized that he was not a negative or strange poster but one with a very sensitive and therefore distinctive way of looking at life. Instead of RIP my personal choice: EYNW (Enjoy Your New World.)

Reading through all this is so different like back in 2003 for instance. Even during the last tour it was different. More open. More good tempered. More relaxed. But with this new record coming out something happened to this board. And I am not talking about the Waldorf & Stadlers. They belong to the show. I am talking about those dry, analytical, soulless and cold comments, thoughts a

Many of the chief-analysts here praise the so "golden years" 68-72. Funny fact is: In this era between "BB" and "Exile" nobody like them was there. Nobody as a kind of critic-fan was existent. It was all about staying peaceful, easy and cool and open! and tolerant and let it flow and go. Because people were like that in that time music could evolve in the way it d

My IORR is back! With this song we have a comeback a huge strong comeback of the positive power of this board. The enormous majority of unfrustrated, glass is half full, true believers in the fact that you can progress on and on if you let yourself go - they are here. And in fact, they never left, they just didn‘t take part in all those meantime threads about Mick‘s knee or which key Keith played

My Tips for tomorrow: Look forward to it. (the most unprejudiced way.) Grab for your childish Stones-mood and just lay back and listen. Feel if this your record - no matter what is written/said here or elsewhere. Roll with it. Groove with it, analyse later. Shut down your brain and let your ears and the rest of your body rule. Keep always in mind that a moment happens so many

QuoteRisingStone B2B Japan tour for me. I attended all but the Tokyo first night, which was the tour opener — that is, Tokyo x 3 and Osaka x 2, five shows in all. I enjoyed every show, especially the two Osaka shows because they were their first ever gigs in my hometown. Nothing can take the place of a joy that the Stones are coming to where you live! True! Everybody has those 1 or 2 Tours which was his tours by many reasons. The time they happened in his life. The way they played in this time. Which where "Your Tours"? So for me definetely the '82 Tour. Europe. 21 years old. First time seeing them life. School finished. Moving out at home. First job. The whole World wide open. And then they came. QuoteStoneZP Jagger is unavoidable but, so many out of the list like Bowie, Sting, Annie Lennox... Jagger is "unavoidable"?????? I never could imagine that there are Stones Fans on this planet who call the heart, brain and driving force of their band they are fan of just by the family name. Always. And calling the fact he is on top of the 50 best-list as "unavoidable".

Quoteslewan Jagger? Seriously? He maybe the best front man of any rock band and most likely he has (or rather had) the best backing band in rock business but that doesn't make him the best rock singer. Personally I think he's overrated as a rock singer although he is a great blues and ballad singer. Beside that: where is Elvis on that fu*king list????? The last time for the rest of

Quoterollmops Angie broadened the rolling stones's commercial appeal. It went deep ; older people, people who did not like them before were seduced by Angie. At that stage of their career it was remarkable. Angie was on the radios all the time (France). In my opinion it is a great song. I trust the song, I let it take me over each time I listen to it; I don't resist emotonnal arrest by

I was 12. I heard it in the radio first. I was carried away. I got an idea of Love and a glimmer of the existence of being in love with somebody. And that love can hurt you. I was like a window into the future. It make me feel sad. And strong. In the same time.

Taylor Swift is pop; the Stones are rock 'n roll. I really meant 'pop' in it's broadest sense. It's all 'popular music', after all. Just for the record: Somebody writes in the biggest

Its a typical lovely IORR Methadone-Thread. Method: As long as it s not real we make it real by talking about it. A lot. That's a core value of IORR and I like it. And it's the main reason why IORR was so great and important the last 33 years: Helping each other through the times between tours.

PaintMonkey - may be the best post so far. Very true. Very sensitively written. And very what is on many minds but not was spoken out. Not in this way. Let me add one thing: Mick in these days still does not look old in the sense of being 80. But he does look like a man who had given everything he could possibly give. I will try to learn to accept that.
