Does anyone remember which show, while playing 'You can't always get what you want' he played a portion of 'Winter.' Only a snippet, but a beautiful solo. Europe '73. I have it, just cannot put my hands on at the moment. It may already be up on this thread. I have not watch all the videos. Thanks.

Paul well tell you it is wife that is the reason for his health. She is a former model and Miss Canada, exercise physiologist and artist Cynthia Kereluk. I remember her from her TV program, 'Everyday Workout.' She is a very sweet and down to earth lady. I have met her a few times. She works the merchandise booths and walks around the crowd during his shows. She is always surprised when

Bad Company reformed back in '08. Saw the in '09 and '10. Paul Rodgers seems to have found the fountain of youth so, go see them. It's well worth it.

The '70 tour of Europe and the '71 tour of the UK have always been my favorite period. I saw them in '69, but I do wish I had managed to catch one of these shows. I remember the Rolling Stone article and have already pre-ordered this one.

with sssoul. Sorry, I knew her name was Jo. I have a Joy in my family. Freud would understand. Yes, it was a fantastic night. Not one of the better shows set list wise but the last show of that leg and everyone was relaxed and having a great time. Fun to watch. Jo was nursing Ronnie all night. She was a rock. She was there for him and it showed. Being in Memphis was a blast. I enjoyed our stay a

jammingedward. No, it was Dec.03 '05. It was at the FedEx Forum. I almost went to the '99 show at the Pyramid. I went to Tampa instead. My hometown. '99 was a great tour. Love the video of them taking the stage and the set list. Plus, I like the stage. Wish they had released a DVD of that tour. I almost did not go. I saw them a few times in '97. I was thinking it was a part of

Not in the balconies, but in Memphis (Arena) we were seated behind the stage. I had recently been in a car crash. Nothing was going to stop me from seeing the show. I hobbled in on crutches. My wife noticed the handicap seating was nearly empty. Right over the stage. Her job involves working with special guest from State and Federal offices. She is use to handling all kinds. She approached the us

Release them indeed. The Stones will never dig through the vaults. Find someone like Chris Kimsey to do it. From '68-'12. Plenty of material. We would never have had 'Start me up' if this had not been undertaking before. 'Tattoo you' would never have been release in it's present form. The Stones do not seem interested in certain releases. 'Live Licks'

Long time MB fan. This is a great album. I saw him solo and with the MBs last year. Having seen them through the years, I still feel that are one of the best bands from the Golden Era. One thing that amazed me was how hard they rocked during there shows. A side we really never heard on their albums. Maybe I should say their albums never capture that side of them. They are fantastic musicians.

gotdablouse, thanks for putting this back up. Guess I missed it. I would like to have the chance to hear these songs. The one that intrigues me is Keith's 'Smooth 180.'

That is why I keep hoping they will surface. The 5 we have are as good as some of the songs on 'ABB.' There must be something of value. Surprised they never went back and dusted them off. But Jagger is known for never having much interest in songs left unfinished. Maybe we will get a 'Deluxe Edition' of rarities one day. Not like the last one with the badly written notes.

NeddieFlanders, thanks for the info. I have heard of someone who has heard them, they were rough mixes. "Just Because" is a really good country-tinged rocker. "When I Call Your Name" is an old style R&B number. Sounds like Lloyd Price Price and The Skatalites. Plus, I too have heard Keith's song called "Smooth 180."

Looking for songs from the sessions that produced the 4 new ones that were recorded for the 40 Licks album. I have heard of 3. One was a number sung by Keith called "180" and the other 2 were "Just Because" and "When I Call Your Name." Thanks.

Guys, at this point I really cannot blame them for resting on their laurels. They have earned it. Would a new album even sell? How may Radio stations would play any songs from it? I really cannot remember the last guitar driven hit in the charts here in the states. We, the fans would buy it. When 40 Licks came out they had at one point considered a new album but agreed a greatest hits would sell

Gazza, I thank you for responding to my question. At this point I think we both can agree to disagreed. The Michael Jackson question was tongue in cheek, hence the wink. My point was that over the past few years a few songs are languishing in the vaults that could easily be rework for a album. SMU could not have been record in '63. They were not that far along in finding their selves yet. I

I think there are still some unheard gems in the vault. But after the horrible editing on Licks Live and the liner notes for Rarities not sure if we will ever get the chance to hear them. But after the Deluxe editions and the live shows we got from them over the last few years guess we should not complain too much. Chuck may not be everyone favorite but he has done a lot to keep the Stones going.

Gazza, I think you are missing the point. No 'barrel scrapping' but some quality outtakes that could still be used. Maybe there are not any. Sure I would love for them to go in the studio for a new album. But at this point I really do not see that happening. A REAL Rarities album. I would think there are a few songs still in the vaults. We would never have had 'Start me up' if

24FPS, the Stones have on many occasion admitted to releasing what was ready. Case in point, 'Emotional Rescue.' Keith said during a interview when it was released that they had better tracks in the vault. The following album prove this. 'Tattoo You.' Any of the song on that album could have been used on 'ER.' Mick said the 4 songs on '40 licks,' where song

Gazza, what do you know of the songs recording during the sessions for '40 Licks'? There has to be a few still unheard. Van Halen's last was mainly songs from their vaults. I do wish the Stones would do another 'Tattoo You' style album.

I miss out about Greenfield's new book. What is this one about? SIH was patchy indeed. I hope we get a great book on that period some day. I always enjoy listening to concerts from that era. The one from Leeds is a classic. Love the way they played 'Satisfaction.' As Keith once comment "We have record versions of songs and then we have road versions." Something along thos

I wish they would release the rest of the songs recorded during the '40 Licks' sessions. Chuck Leavell has mention the songs were among some of the best. He loved the one Keith recorded. Called '180' as in a 180. I think that's the title. He mention they plan to release them at some point and time. It's been 10 years. Remember what John Paul Jones said about 5 years
