QuoteMartinB What did you expect? A sermon? The book is a great read. Excellent writing, a differnt plane than Woody's. Who cares how much of it is truth? And who knows? You? Certainly not me. No, I didn't expect a sermon, but I did expect more. When someone as prolific as Keith Richards writes his autobiography, which is one of the most-anticipated autobiographies in decades, I think

QuoteNICOS Quote gypsy18 I love Keith, but not like I did before the book. Think I skip the whole book No! Don't do that. I know how much you like Anita, and Keith talks about her throughout the entire book. Keith is obviously still smitten with her and fascinated by her beauty, her intellect, the fact that he could never have her in the way he has Patti as the reliable wife.He says b

QuoteTrulyMicks Quotemickschix Well put, Squiggle! You summarized why many of us are deeply troubled by this bio. You captured in a few sentences what a lot of us wasted many words trying to express. Yes my feelings also. I am disappointed and feeling less love for Keith these days. I couldn't agree more. I love Keith, but not like I did before the book. He's bought into his own my

Quoteproudmary Quotekingkirby My one and only comment on Mick's todger: I think Marianne was a very kind lady who knew exactly what to say to Keith to make him feel better about Mick and Anita... Poor Marianne! She after all didn't say anything and it's totally not her style. It was Anita. I don't want to know what her standards are but she complained all the time that Keit

Keith has embellished and flat-out lied for years. I wanted to like the book, but I don't. Keith is a braggart, trying to act like a tough guy throughout. I find that attitude childish and immature. If you're going to kick someone's ass, quit talking about it and do it. In every "fight" he's ever been in, he ran off and left Spanish Tony or some other hanger-on

Quoteproudmary The ROLLING STONES pair fell out in 2005 when the guitarist first said Sir Mick had a "small c**k". Keith, 66, was forced to publicly apologise. Now he says Sir Mick's ex MARIANNE FAITHFULL "had no fun with Mick's tiny todger". But he seems ready for a U-turn. "I was told that by others," he says in an interview with Caitlin Moran in The Ti

QuoteMarie Anyone notice that after Brian died Mick and Keith started bantering back and forth? Brian wasn't around anymore to take the hit.... No. I never noticed that at all. I think they bickered more after Mick and Anita filmed "Performance" together. They've been in the same band together for nearly 50 years, which is unprecedented, touring and recording. I'm sur

I think the book will focus mainly on the music. I think the media is only picking the 'gossipy' parts and running with them. We'll know the truth in 11 days!

Quotecrumbling_mice Some of you lot chat some shit on here...there is nothing socially inept about Keith, never has been....he is a man of few words, but that doesn't make him socially inept. He wasn't a womaniser like Jagger therefore tended to stick with which ever woman he was with at the time. The guy can't win. I agree with you. Keith is naturally very social. He has - at

QuoteGlam Descendant Yes, a great book of photos by Annie Leibovitz and text by Terry Southern. I believe it's difficult to find a copy that's not in need of rebinding though, and I think it was never released in hardback (I may be wrong about that). Indeed. Mine fell apart as soon as I opened it to scan a picture. I don't care though.

Yes. There are two. One is a big, green paperback with photos by Annie Leibovitz and Christopher Simon-Sykes. Then Genesis Publications printed their own TOTA '75 book a few years ago. I think it's really expensive, like most of their books. Not sure if any are still available, but you could always check their site. I lucked out and got the paperback book for $5.00 on ebay from Cana

QuoteAddicted Keith's fortunately a lot more than rock'n'roll! We're familiar with his rock'n'roll, but this book's deeper. And did you know he cooks? Well, Doris taught him, and gave him her recipies. He's sharing them with you. So you can cook a Richards family dinner. The complete Keith Richards menu! Now, how's that? Invite your Stones-fan friends

Of course I cannot wait to read this book, but I have also been wondering about the photos that will be in the book. Anyone else curious about this as well? I really, really hope that they don't use stock agency photos that we've seen dozens oftimes in all of the other books. I'd be thrilled if it contained photos from Keith's own collection or photos by photographers and/or

QuoteMathijs QuoteLieB Her name was Uschi Obermaier. Were they really together for "a large part" of '73 and '74? I thought it was a short affair of a couple of weeks in '73. I am not really into the family affairs of the Stones, but they had a relation throughout the '73 tour up to the Roundhouse gig with Wood, and she spent a great deal of time with Richar

QuoteAddicted Andrew's trying a @#$%&, though, not a Nanker... I suspect the photo of Marlon and his dad could be taken by Ed Murphy, who lived with them after Keith and Anita split up. (Or was Marlon a tad bit older when they split up?) No, that photo is from the 1975 TOTA, and was taken by Christopher Simon Sykes.

QuoteAddicted Yes, she's a strong girl, Patricia. That's why she made it. I'll keep my fingers crossed for her and wish her all the best. We actually owe her a lot. She helped Keith kick heroin, according to the man himself. It's actually a lovestory you can look forward to reading about in his autobiography. It's very touching. Very strong relationship - and a great stor

Quotesaturn57 I hope Keith doesn't trash Mick or any of the band. IMHO Keith did the unthinkable when he stole Anita from Brian while Brian was in the Hospital. Taking a mates girl is the cardinal sin of friends. But for some reason Keith acts like its no big deal. Between his out of control drug abuse & taking Anita from Brian, he really shouldn't be taking shots at anybody. One

Quotemelillo cmon keith cant remember yesterday, but now we are to believe he can remember his whole life to sell a book , LOL You don't know Keith, so you can't make an accusation like that without anything to back it up. You come across as a non-Stones fan who is quick to dismiss Keith as a stupid junky. And no one should ever underestimate the intelligence of Keith.
