Miller may not have been a genious his entire life, but for a 4 album run he certainly was. No Stones albums before or since, in my opinion, have ever come close to capturing that sound. (Ironically Miller didn't like the sound on Exile, but what did he know?)

The reviewer made what I consider a truly telling statement in that review, that Charlie Watts is the only Stone who is actually cool. You see it's about who is cool, not the music or lyrics or talent or ability or anything to do with the end product, with so many people. Just as long as they are "cool". Which explains to me why so much of todays music is simply ordinary at best
