If you start with a spanish guitar you can try yourself out and decide in which direction you want to develope your playing, so this would be my choice.

What I particularly like about this is, that the Stones can be watched as working men, colleagues who talk to each other in an ordinary way. In the nineties they started to promote themselves like statesmen: Photos in jets, photos in front of and in limousines. Keith Richards began to express himself mostly through laughter and endless "Hoho, haha, you know...". In these videos one can

Quotematxil QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotewindmelody Quotebakersfield ... It is great if you enjoy Hackney Diamonds, Bakersfield, and you definitely have a point: Many Stones songs depend on the band's performance: Jagger's voice, the weaving of the guitars, the rhythm section. Yet, to my impression, many songs on Hackney Diamonds sound fresh, but very constructed. An example for that

Quotebobo Only sad thing is that there isn’t any decent Keith songs that earn a place on a collection like that. All his stuff since Bridges are crap. Unfortunately I have to agree.

Quotebakersfield Hackney Diamonds is the stones best album since I’m girls in my opinion. Those of us on this board like the stones just because of the sound they make so we enjoy albums like Emotional Rescue and Undercover though the quality of the songwriting isn’t that great because we like the guitar sound, the way that Micks voice sounds et cetera. Hackney diamonds stands out from these beca

The video was brillant - Watts and Jagger are funny, Richards,Wood and Wyman do a good job, and the women look sexy. Today it would cause a a pussy riot.

"Hackney Diamonds" is decent - yet I am not among those who praise it as "the best release in more than forty years." Andrew Watt did a good job, it seems that he turned into the band's leader at times. I do not like "Angry",apart from the last minute. My favorites are "Live by the Sword" and "Mess it up". Wood's solo on "Whole wide

A very special tour for me was the European leg in 1999: It was my most intensive state as a Stones fan. I attended the concerts in Stuttgart, in the heat, and Cologne, in the driving rain - the "No Security"-Intro hypnotized me, and the Stones were on fire during both nights. Ronnie Wood was rather drunk, but totally rock'n'roll.

QuoteBig Al Could the success of Blue & Lonesome be partly due to a sense that they’re a little more en vogue these day’s? I’ve often felt that, over the last decade, there’s been a growing nostalgia and recognition for and of the Stones. This - in my opinion - wasn’t quite there for the releases of Bridges to Babylon and A Bigger Bang. I think that their 50th anniversary was a turning-point
