Quotekeefriffhards Of course Keith wants to tour, he played with Steve Jordan a few weeks ago for charity in New York and looked great, Ronnie also performed recently, they both looked ready to tour. If you watch Mick closely in recent weeks he seems a bit frail on his legs to me, sure he's in great shape for his age but can he perform Stadiums for two hour shows, it will be two years sin

Quotematxil In general, I don't think there's ever a point in changing songs on an album you already know and have gotten used to. Worried About You fits marvelously on the B-side of Tattoo You, so that's where it should stay. Black and Blue is a strange album, an odd collection of songs but somehow they all contribute to the overall feel to the album, even an obviously weak song l

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteProfessorWolf Quotetreaclefingers I think Yetnikoff tried to convince him he could make him a bigger star outside the band, sort of like a Michael Jackson outside the Jacksons. And you had stars like Bowie and Tina Turner in their early middle age doing fabulously so I think that was part of the lure for MJ. But those two were established solo artists and what you h

QuoteWitness GLS, you have a certain tendency to "objectivise" your own, sometimes it is your taste, sometimes it is your understanding. I am in opposition to such, also when I usually don't express it. I would agree that the socalled "big four" represent an unmatched period of innovation that they had. However, what is good or great, would not necessarily be reduced

81-82 my absolute favourite tour. But if they came back in 89 and was the same ragged shows, they would not have survived as a band. The times had changed way too much.

Quotekeefriffhards Quotegotdablouse Dynamite riffs ? That's right, the 3 he mentioned in 2015 (?) have yet to see the light of day AFAICT ! QuoteBig Al He is looking good, though I’m not sure about his style of sunglasses. Yeah his Vintage MD Nike sunglasses from 2014 looked better on him I'd say ;-) This is the stage where Keith leaves the studio happy with things, the killer ri

Quotespikenyc Samantha Fish is a great NOLA artist and shreds the guitar! I've been pretty happy with most of the warmups on this tour. Some standouts for me have been - Jon Baptiste at Met Life Tyler Childers in Orlando Kaleo in Philly (first time seeing/hearing them and there will be more!) Bettye Leavett and Lainey Wilson in Chicago. Widespread Panic in Denver. Yeh, she lives

Quotekeefriffhards Watching these shows year after year you soon notice that Mick does the exact same moves , Watching Gimme Shelter, at precise moments during the concert he walks in exactly the same direction making exactly the same moves . Is it about control or obsessive compulsive disorder. The cool spontaneous moves pre 89' and exciting stage clothes are gone, each show is a carbon

If the song vote was up to me it should be album themed, just that, 3-4 songs to choose from. No stuff that has been released as singles. Different albums every gig, then start again when they were through the albums, but then with 3-4 other songs.

When you start listing the names who's been playing piano with Stones in studio and live, he's name is far, far down on the list for me. Mostly because of his sound and way of playing. And some of his interviews over the years haven't come out so good. Big head.
