From the Vault I had much better stuff to offer from 1978 and they had no interest. I even had the 7:30 SNL dress rehearsal show which was so much better then the 11:30 PM live airing (Jagger's voice was still OK then) and they had 0 interest. I even offered it ( with the whole band skit "not in the 11:30 show"winking smiley to SNL for one of their "retro specials", the

That was awesome. This really shows the rolling stones need to stay small from this point forward. Thanks to social media, 4K camera and Dolby Atmos sound, they can now turn your living room into a small club. Hampton Roads was a pay-per-view, future club shows could be as well. They were super prepared for this show and it's great how fulfilling it is. With Charlie gone, now it's reall

Blondie played behind the facade for (?) It's only rock n roll during bigger bang. That's it. Otherwise he would strum an acoustic at his mic stand. This twisted sister sister is just jelly. Ghost town was a #1.

Going to mention two shows that were absolute surprises, both in a small venue. Joe Jackson, 1982. And Devo, 1982. Also, Dylan theater show in '07. Dylan Petty tour was great, too. But most of the shows I've gone to are worth it.

Very sad news. At the second Chicago show in '99 I had a front row seat and she ended up sitting in front of me inside the b-stage barrier. Total coincidence. Originally it was suppose to be the last show of the tour. But she got to the arena after the show started and it was funny to see the surprise reactions from Woody and Keith saying hello. HUGE amount of respect and love. And the funni

knowing this helps a little bit, especially since we are all so powerless to do anything about this loss. 'blue and lonesome' was so powerful and has such a razor's edge. it just proves the stones were still on the cutting edge and could deliver the goods as well as any year, 1968,1981,2002, whatever. it would have been heaven if they just went into the studio for a few weeks here

just listened to Tower last night. great show and setlist, whining ignored. would be nice if they did a "club show" box set like dylan's "rolling thunder revue" box set. with bob clearmountain, not sam wheat, mixing.

this is very nice. good to see bill looking very well and glad they got together for an evening on such good terms (their terms). they've given us so much, as fans we have been blessed. funny, there is So Much rolling stones history that Any date has a precedent. glad this evening was all theirs and thank you for everything, and for the things that are on the way (if ghost town is sitting a

they have to go out next year. they surely will. they are just playing too well, with drive and focus. it's nice to see mick, keith and woody enjoying themselves. the shows are 100% percent successful and the presentation matches. someone like me can tell charlie's not there, and having the bass and now drums drop out means a hard pass for me. but it's clicking and it's not fa

undercover! Yes, been wearing this out lately. 'feel on baby', 'undercover', 'too much blood', the whole album is a razor-edged treat. still sounds the same as it did on nov. 7th, 1983, but meh! it's still a nice, loud, balls-out rock n roll record. if you haven't heard it in a couple of years, or decades, take it out and put it on. you're gonna say &#

this release is fantastic. very nice mick put the work in to match this 'bootleg' release in quality to something dylan would do with a 'bootleg' release. disc2 is a great new stones record. 'shame, shame, shame' is a perfect compliment to 'blue and lonesome'. really wish the last five years they had continued to work that Covers vain. spend a few weeks wor

the issue with keith has always been his desire to "wing it". he feels he was fine when he was twenty-five, and it's no different now. the problem, especially post head bump, is keith needs to put in at least ten percent of the work mick puts in to prepare for a tour. they've known charlie was not going to be on this tour and it looks like keith has been sitting prepping with

why would paul's comments be childish. he's right, the stones started out as a derelict blues band playing chicago blues. the fact is, the stones are an accident. they just got together to play, and thanks to brian's drive, ended up getting a spot as an interval act. and they took off from there. the beatles played for drunk germans for a few years before getting an accidental reco

thankfully, everything is on video. and thank God they muted and muffled the drums. they gave a good presentation. so good it leaves you sad; what if charlie had been up there with them? love 'ghost town', very good rambler, sympathy. jumpin' jack rocked as well. nice to see keith re-engaged, that was what was so frustrating in '17, '19 and first half of '18. he'

QuoteDoomandGloom I am surprised at how different they sound with SJ. I had assumed he'd play the songs in the style of the records. I don't know what this is, sounds like a nervous guy imitating a drum machine. No dynamics, just kick, snare, kick, snare, kick, snare, fill.. He'll get better but Jordan is not a great drummer, I worked on sessions with him for years, TV star, nice f

Quotemickschix I'm not convinced that the band is experiencing any joy at this time...I think the promoters and insurance companies have them in a very nasty position right now...to think Mick, Keith & Ronnie are really looking forward to this tour is unimaginable...it is something they are forced to do or perhaps lose future tour insurance...I don't know if any of this is true but

yes, an opinion that should be given some room, especially in light of the sadness and surprise at the loss of charlie. saw somewhere on facebook late last night some idiot said something along the lines of "so what?! the loss of the drummer is no different than pearl jam losing a drummer." utterly offensive. asking has the time arrived for a graceful conclusion is an outlook that re

the sad thing about the loss of charlie is bob dylan gave a perfect demonstration of what a future for them could have looked like with "shadow kingdom". take your time, work up the songs, either old blues numbers, new songs, warhorses, film over "so many" days, create a finished product and then sell tickets for a streaming release date. "shadow kingdom" was great.

QuoteMariuana Quotesundevil it's a question of knowing when to leave the stage. the loss of charlie means the end of the rolling stones. the time has arrived. at least for touring. besides, with Covid out there and the random fan getting a maskless photo with SJ it is possible that Patti puts the kibosh on the tour. the loss of charlie now puts the focus and priorities on making the best dec

thank you charlie for all that you have given and done for us fans. the interaction between you and keith was where the magic of the rolling stones was born. you gave us everything and made our lives better. one of the best things about a stones show was during the opener and mick walking back to the kit and checking in to see if everything is alright. it always was. your life and your work has a

enough. charlie's wish would have been that he doesn't die. or have needed the procedure that he had. no one can even place mick, keith or woody anywhere on the planet for the past two weeks. or now. "the shows are going to go on! and i am going to cheer the loudest to let everyone know how much charlie means to me!" is pure masterbatory editorializing. just stop. kenny jones
